Eibach springs with OEM shocks???

Anyone yet tried this combination?
Its ok to add the eibach pro kit with OEM shocks (sport suspension)
What differences in ridding comfort and Handling will I get?
Its for my coupe but considering doing the same with my sport wagon :p
Thanks guys

A box on 4 wheels
I would suggest you change the stock shocks though into koni or something to provide further comfort

i would think so, since factory shocks works better and last longer with oem springs.

Thats why I'm only considering installing eibach springs, my car have only 25000miles and when the OEM shocks wear out I will put new shocks, Koni ones, maybe! :p

^^^ it's more worth it to save the labor charges to do both the springs and shocks at the same time, any maybe get some adjustables while your at it!

I don't agree. If you don't have the extra $200-400 to buy new shocks, there's absolutely no need for you to get new shocks (especially if the car is brand new). The installation fees are not that drastic that you will be losing so much money. ADDED - I just noticed that you are in Portugal...hmmm...well, don't know how difficult it is to find installers there. In that case, it might be worth it to you to buy both and just sell both your stock spings and shocks. One way or another, someone might want them.

Now, if money is not an issue, you can get springs and shocks at the same time, which would run you around $600 total (+ or - for labor, depending on where you go). At the same time, if money really were not an issue, I'd wonder why you're considering just getting springs and shocks rather than getting coilovers (whether they're ride height only adjustable or both ride height and dampening adjustable).

Yes, most likely, the OEM shocks will wear faster due to the difference in spring travel, therefore causing the shocks to do more work.

When I first installed Eibach Pro Kit springs on my car, I left the OEM shocks installed. However, I found that the shocks were very underdamped. So I went back and installed the Pro Kit shocks (made my Sachs, by the way) and that really balanced out the springing and damping. At least I was able to do the intall and resulting wheel alignments myself, which mitigated the costs.

I'm really happy with my car having all of the Pro Kit components installed. It feels a lot like the 05 sport sedan model (USA version) that I have driven before.

Yes, money is an issue :p
I also have a workshop to install the new suspension parts, but I prefer going to my dealer, they are used to deal with the car...
Its not a must for me rigth now,I could get the eibach springs for +- 180€, but I'm considering waiting till I get my bushings and shocks more wear out
I got other needs rigth now, like a new downhill bike (3000-4000€) and Command 2.0 (+-1200€), so I could wait some more time to do the suspension mod, thats why I'm only asking how it feels with the OEM shocks and also I don't want a hard car to drive!
Thanks
