ALSO, would like to note. Earlier toward the top of this thread it was stated that a 230 was well into the 5k range at 130... well mathmatics would tell me that in order to do 149.... a 230 would be PAST redline at which point a rev limiter would kick in.

Ive been trying to find the link where it had the top speeds of all the C class cars without limits, and quite frankly, I can't. MBSPY lists the top speeds for some of the cars, but not all.
C230 is 149...regardless of of the engine
C240 is 143...long road down a mountain perhaps
I did however find something in an old R&T that lists the top speed of the C320 as 135mph, electronically limited.
????
But this conflicts with what you said even more. Some cars are limited to 112, some to 130, some to 135, and then 155... Whatever...

i plan on having mine chipped by the end of the year, that will remove the limiter, with a little luck, maybe i will take a road trip to Laughlin and take the back road... straight and desolate with salt flats on either side. Good area to test top speed.
the C320.... 132 limiter kicked in
the ML320... 118 limiter kicked in
190e........... 138, 4th grear slightly past readline
AND yes 215 ponies can get you up to 160. My RX-7 was somewhere around 200 ponies and hit 150+ mph (speedo does not read any higher)
