I know how you feel, I never had a good MB and this is my 4th. But I do enjoy the loaners, I'm on my 12th in 11 months, not too shabby. I don't know where people get the idea that because they spend a lot of dough on a car that it's going to be reliable. IMHO MB did not deserve the 10th place it got in the JD Powers dependability survey, it's just not that reliable. But I do love the car. What I find with MBs is once you hit about 50,000 miles the problems dimish greatly and they turn out to be nice cars. I even drove one home at night with a paper clip holding the throttle linkage together. It was in 12 times because the throttle linkage kept falling off, mostly the cruise control but once the actual throttle. The lemon law took that one back but the replacement car needed a horn and transmission after 1 week and that was in 1984 before loaners.
