get silver if you are lazy to wash the car every week. with a silver car, all you need is to wipe the brake dust off the rims and the car will look like it has just been washed. black is very nice looking but it requires more care

yeah definetly silver is much easier to maintain...still don't know what color to get i'm going there in an hour so i'm just going to check them out in person. so then ipod integration isn't in the 06 standard?? if not how much does it cost?? i really hope they offer me a good deal so my next post can be about what mods to do.

damn today at fletcher jones didn't go so well. so basically to begin with they only have red, blue, and green left no silver and no black. i thought the blue i think its called capri blue was the only one i really wanted. so it came with xenon and sunroof and came to 35k without tax. Now he wanted me to put out a price but i had no clue what to say cuz everyone on this forum seems to have gotten different deals. I need some major help as to what i should be asking for out the door. Like i thought i would be able to get it to 30k or maybe just under out the door but its not looking good. HELPP!!!!

1) on yahoo autos its listed the invoice is around 27k and the msrp 29k...now with auto and xenon what kind of out the door can i get? my friend said it may be possible to get like 28k out the door for the 2005. if the deal on the 2005 is significantly better i'll prolly end up with that one.

how do you guys think i should approach the service manager tommorow. and what kind of out the doors are you guys getting in california. thankkkks

p.s. don't live in a snowy area and will give the IS a look. thanks guys.

p.p.s. xenons looks sexy

the 05's should be easier to bargin with...since they prob wanna clear out inventory of 05s

reallly really loooong day

so today i started by going to fletcher jones dealership and they said for a C230 with sunroof and xenon that it will be around 35k msrp however i didn't make them any offers at that point. then i called rusnak and they said they would call me back. so i thought in the meantime i would go to the house of imports. BIG MISTAKE! i had the worst service there. basically at the end of all this arguing he said he could give me 32,500 out the door for a C230 with lighting package and sunroof with a cd changer. i thought that was really good at first. then i called rusnak and they said they coudl give me

the same car for 32 flat
an '06 with no options for 33

then i called fletcher jones and without even knowing the price house of imports gave me they said they could easily match it. i think i'll either end up at fletcher or rusnak in anahiem. house of imports just tried to swindle me at every point even in the appraisal. i'm going to try to go for 30k out the door because honestly these are '05 and fletcher said they would do better. but it was a looong and disspointing day from one dealership to the next and many were very shady. at the end of the day i'm just tired and feel as confused as ever. wish me luck for tommorow.

IM in the same boat. Im looking for a new C class and visted most of the dealers around here. (alhambra) Rusnak is closer but penske has nice service fetures. IM not sure who to go with. Or who will give me a better price. A month or so Ill have the 10g (how much i req myself to put down)ready for a down payment. Im looking at a fully loaded C280 which MSRPs for 40,000 plus tax, fees and extened warr. What do you think i should be aksing for an out the door price? Im thinking 45,000. Does that sound right? Keep me updated for my future buying experiance.

2005 C Wagon (No snickering please!)
Never pay more than invoice for a C class. That is dealer cost, not MSRP. Never pay a destination charge. They can make it go away. If there is cash to dealer incentive, inform the sales manager you will have all of that too. Don't talk to the salesman, you know what you want, deal only with the sales manager. Don't worry if the dealer plays games, they do that to make money, just don't buy on that visit. Things can change, and they might be more receptive to your inquiry. You can look up invoice prices on Edmunds.com. The holdback is 3 to 5 % and the dealer can live quite well on that. You also help him meet sales quotas by moving a unit.

If you don't have the inclination to haggle (usually a lack of middle east genes) then consider European Delivery. You get 7% off MSRP, and get to drive a brand new Benz on the unlimited speed Autobahn. You drop off the car in Europe, and a few weeks later it arrives at the dealer.

so the thing is i can get a 05 C230 with lighting package and i think maybe sunroof. or i can get a 06 with 2k miles on it for a little cheaper with every option except nav and xenons. and now i'm thinking about the 3 series too because its a little more expensive but their 5yr service plan is pretty good. so:

1) new 2005 C230 (diamond black, pewter, capri blue)

2) 2006 C230 with 2000 miles on it (iridium silver with ash, leather, entertainment package, sunroof, etc)

3) 3 series (LOL i doubt this will get any votes)

so what do you guys think. and i've only driven the 06 V6 not the kompr. but i mean what are ur opinons on my choices and what do you think is a better deal.

I would go for choice 1) or 3)

I prefer a new car (20 miles or less) over one that has been driven 2000 miles.

yep, you should do that. According to Jim Banville, the new 3 drives great.

If it were between the 230 models or the '06 325 series, I would get the bmw hands down..its a drivers car pure and simple. Nimble, fast, light, comparable gas mileage and you can through anything at it. Many advancements in it. And I'm sure it's more reliable to a point. I personally love the sleek modern look.

Now, if it was the c350 sport, then that's perhaps another story

Comparing price ranges, you can approx. get a brand new 3 with some options and be as much as the MB. Get it with sports pkg, alum trim, xenon, etc and you are set.

It's what the mew 230 could of achieved by setting the bar higher, but fell. The MB is still an incredible car however
