Looks good. You know the chrome accents and door handle shells aren't favored by much here. There is a C55 replica spoiler on ebay for a little less than $120. It will look a lot better than the one that's no there now.

2nd.

But you guys arguing is alot more fun to read. Drex is right about the leds, with the constant use of them being running lights they do have a higher chance of failing sooner or later, then again when he had his is another story within itself / also swap the fog with the running light for the side light effect or you will not see the light from the side of the car - Kev, your right, the tails looks insane, and work great. Loving the looks they get from Mb owners - like

Someone flagged me down when I had the LED versions on. They definitely are eye catching, just wish the LED's themselves were better quality where they would last.

You're lucky! When they first came out, they were probably double the price that you paid (which still wasn't "expensive" IMHO). But definitely a good aftermarket part compared to a lot of others out there.

btw, just so everybody knows, I think I found the right bulb socket and might sit down and see if I can do the parking light mod this weekend...Don't hold your breathe though (cuz remember, I'm getting older and more lazy... )

Drex would you have to take out the grid, and rewire it. the only problem im seeing with the mod is a socket for the new bulf IF i can get the leds out and rewired.

**EDITED** haha finally a senior member !!!

No. The OEM bulb holder/grid doesn't work with the LED's (not sure about the regular version, but most likely not those either).

Not sure exactly what it is you are asking me, but...it is going to involve some re-wiring. And I will do a DIY if I get the time to do this on the weekend. Gotta do traffic school on Sunday, so if I don't get to it Saturday, may not do it this weekend.

Nope. Get this...I was 2 days short of being eligible for 8 hour traffic school, so the court would only grant me 12 hour traffic school. I called in to ask if it's possible to get it changed to 8 hour, if I show paperwork and when I talked to the clerk's office, they said that they account for the exact day (rule is 18 months from the last time you took traffic school). So I was S.O.O.L!

Oh well, at least it's run by the Improv, so hopefully there'll be some funny comedians that'll crack on everybody.

Oh, snap...12 hour traffic school?! I had to do that once when I got two tickets within a year, but they let me do a take home version that only took about an hour and a half. Either way, it's much better than having points on your record.

Yup. That's for sure. Yeah, they said that I can't do any of the take home traffic school options (including online)...so, Improv Traffic School it is!...LOL.

Replace running light bulbs...

Okay, so because I'm an idiot and completely forgot that the rear blinker bulbs are 7507 bulbs, I ordered 2 red 1156 bulbs (not same as 7507) thinking this would help with the issue of my lights being so dim (Thanks to nlpamg for pointing the issue out to me).

Regardless, I thought that I might as well try to see if these would help the rear running lights look brighter. Sure enough, it actually worked. For those that don't know, the bulbs that they put in the rear running lights are the tiny white 1156 bulbs. I replaced them with Red 1156 bulbs and it looks much brighter. For safety reasons, I'd highly recommend this (of course, for me, this will eventually change once I find out if my "project" to make the S-Class tails light up like the 2005 OEM works).

I've attached some comparison shots.

3 more...

Far Away and right/left comparison.

BTW, some of the pics were taken with flash, some without. I can't remember which, but you can see the difference between the bulbs in all of the pics.

Right side is the regular sized, red 1156 bulb. The left side is the smaller, white 1156 bulb.

After a few days driving with the red halogen bulbs in the parking lights, I've decided to buy a couple more to try them out on the brake lights.

Gonna try to get to that other project this coming weekend, but we'll see.

So my tail lights got smashed and the insurance is paying me out $462 for new lights, and I'm willing to kick in whatever extra it takes to get my hands on a good pair of S-Class tail lights that will fit on a 2001 W203 sedan. But if these LED's blow after a year, then I dont really see a point and would rather go with non LED's.

If someone could PLEASE direct me to a reputable seller of this it would be greatly appreciated as I need to get my order in quick. Seems like everyone is ordering these lights all from different sources on ebay, and a search of ebay didn't bring back any positive results.

Thanks!
