then you can go get some spray tints. i have never used them, but i'm pretty sure there are members here who have and would tell you. it's a long and tedious process though, but it is cheaper

spray tint can is about $20-25. be sure to use automotive tint cans, not the tint sprays for the model cars because they fade.

lots of masking is needed. after that it's just spray and wait and spray and wait...till it gets to the darkness you want. They dry darker usually, so don't go all "it's not dark enough and use the whole can".

There are 2 different versions the 00-04 and the 05-07. I think one has a 4 pin connector and one has a 6 pin connector. I know you can mod the 6 pin to fit the 4 pin and vice versa but it would be way easier to ge tthe right ones. I think the 4 pin is for 00-04 and the 6 pin is for 05-07.

Hey Drex, I got an easier way to change the look of the tails!

Just take one of the bulbs out on the lower row and then it shuts that row off and only lights up the triangle leds on the top! Looks like a real S Class now!

Only the error messages are a PITA to always clear off the MFD.

S Class Tail Lights; do they fit?

This may sound stupid, but I saw this everywhere in this blog; s class tail lights.

Are these lights, you are referring to, looking like s class tail lights or are they really s class parts that fit on c class? (do you follow me??)

For instance, would this fit on my w203? (I know the ad clearly states w220)

No. These won't fit. Please search and you'll find the S-Class tails. Actually, just merged your thread with what you should've found in the aftermarket/diy sticky.

i believe that the 00-04 version is 6 pins and the 05-07 version is 7 pins. i agree that it would be way easier to just buy your year. it is not worth the time and money that goes into re-wiring.

W220 tail light mod

Does anybody know if the W220 tail lights fit the W203's? If it does what kind of mod would be needed for it to work?

You can buy one's made for C-classes all over ebay and the classifieds. No modification needed.

As mentioned above, you can only buy W220 style taillights for W203.

The actual W220 tails won't fit W203.

Please read through the stickies at the top of the forum before starting a new thread. Your thread has been merged (in one of the stickies, I had said that I would begin deleting threads that are redundant).

Please also look through the AFTERMARKET MOD / DIY THREAD here:

You have a right to your opinion but I wasn't really asking for any opinions. Just wanted to know if it would fit or if it was made for the W203. Thanks.

I think I'm going to be doing a switch from the LED lights to the non-LED ones. My question is, do the non-led lights use the stock bulb holder? If not, can someone tell me how it plugs in? My LED ones have been giving me problems....thanks

Non-LED ones don't use the OEM bulb holder. Separate sockets are wired together to the connector, just like the LED's. I never tried matching up the OEM bulb holder to see if it will work, but it's something you could try, I suppose. Just not sure if the bulb placement matches up.

even if they line up the stock bulb holder will not fit unless you dremel the crap out of the housing.

Thanks...for some reason my LED tails have been flickering and only one side....I even tried my brand new spare set and same thing...My stock tails work fine now, but It must have something to do with the voltage or the LEDs, and I'm thinking that harness they sell with a resistor in it would do the trick, but I don't really care to get it. So I might be selling a set of LED tails to get the non-LED....

I think I can do without the LED, but the look of the S tails wins over stock for sure
