demonstrated feature and impressed wife
Thinking it might be a deer I hadn't seen, I slammed on the brakes. The "panic stop" feature of the computer took over as the car scrreched to a halt and the brake pedal moved away form my foot. Very impressive.
Freaked out the wife, since what she was referring to was a car well down the road that she though might be a problem. It was a win/win for me: got to see a nice feature and got wife to be much more conservative about shouted cautions.
I was distracted reading signs when the wife yelled warning. My 230 coupe practically stood on it's nose it stopped so fast. No tire drama, no noice, no swerve or unsteady, but I stopped at the centre line, did a quick back up, and was thankfull for no traffic.
Very impressive, thank-you MB.

I was driving along tonight and the Mrs. was doing her not too infrequent co-driving. Since it was close to dusk, in an area populated with deer, when she anxiously said "look out" I reacted.
Thinking it might be a deer I hadn't seen, I slammed on the brakes.
"That's my move!"
Cheers, BT
The "RTFM" has been used so much that I don't think that it's meant in a harsh way anymore, but just shorthand, so don't immediately get upset (unless it's a really stupid question).
