Sidemarkers

I had the side markers on my CL600 shaved (filled in & painted over) at a local shop. - Definitely a much cleaner look than having some cheap chunk of plastic stuck on the side of your car.
(As others have said, this also emulates the OEM style seen on Mercedes throughout Europe where many countries do not require passenger vehicles to be equipped with side markers.)

Yeah I ordered clear ones myself. But I am either going to paint or wrap them in vinyl as well. Looks better like that on dark cores cars IMO

It's all personal preference. I think the clear side markers look wayyyy off on black cars, but look sick on hcalvarez's whip (Pewter color). Best thing to do IMO is either get your stock sidermarkers painted to match the color of your whip or get the euro impact strips. I can't justify throwing away $30 on two pieces of plastic that I can paint black myself with no additional cost (that is if you have left-over MB spray paint).

While on the subject of "Yugo" - do you remember these bad boys? My father a couple...indestructible little pieces of machinery.
