That sucks big time! D@mn government with their restrictions...

Oh... and I made a test drive today!!! :p

WOW! Thats fast. You should come to The Land of No! Here on Long Island we are only allowed to drive 88 Km/h on the highways. Most other roads are 48 Km/h and some allow you to do 64 Km/h! I wish we were allowed to drive 120 Km/h, that would signifacntly reduce my chances of getting a ticket!

I am all sold out of US Impact Strips, but the non-convex mirrors would be great for adding a blind spot to make your trip down the Audobahn that much more exciting! I am currently running a special on US heightening springs so that your MB can ride as tall as an SUV and clear parking blocks with ease.

First option, Drex. No MB for me... not that I couldn't afford it (which I can't, now that I come to think of it), but ... well... it's a matter of principles.

Once you say 'no' to an MB (due to some 'minor issues' with my brother and my father ), one just has to stick with 'no'... right?

Fast? Maybe... but if you are used to driving 80 kms on secundary roads, then 60 is like a walk in the park. And if you know (and remember) that one was allowed to drive 140 kms on the Dutch 'Autobahn', 120 kms is simply frustrating...

And now that I read your post: I don't think I would like to come to the Land of No. Would be bad for my heart!

BTW, you aren't the only one who's risking speeding tickets.

BigSis

NO!!!

here are 2 interior pictures...I know it looks like a bonestock C-class for US people but here in europe it is narly impossible to find a car with lots of options...wanting to have a car with 2 memory seats made the search difficult...I wanted to get a C30CDI (factory AMG) but only found 2 or 3 with memory seats and those didn't have the other options that I required (sunroof and climate automatic)...US people are blessed with their fully equiped standard C320s...

the car has the following option (code)s from factory (amongst other):
220 parktronic
242 rightside memory seat
249 dimming mirrors
275 leftside memory seat
282 ski bag
287 through loading feature
293 rear sidebags
330 CD compartment
345 rain sensor
352 comand
354 phone antenna
414 power sunroof
423 auto transmission
500 power folding sidemirrors
543 illuminated vanity mirrors
551 anti towing alarm
581 climate automatic
600 headlight washers
612 xenon headlights
685 sissy alloys
819 CD changer
852 nokia phonekit
873 heated front seats
882 interior motion sensor
955 equipment elegance

my first modification...MBenzNL start up logo

the second mocification was an auto dimming pass side mirror and the third modification was version coding of some features in the IC.

next round of mods will have to wait till I am back from the upcoming 2 trips and the car is imported into the netherlands.

John, that thing next to the CD changer is a CD compartment (factory fited, code 330) and I am actualy using it for different nav discs.

For those interested in the interior (and exact exterior color):
EXTERIOR: 029 designo silver
INTERIOR: X68 designo TWOTONED nappa leather
Y96 designo steering wheel and shifter

Even I am not prepared to take that bait .....

Let's just say that I spent some of my time today fitting heated seats covers to my passenger side and it wouldnt have made any difference if the cover was Orion Grey or Designo Nappa two tone.

Many thanks to Steve for sending me full leather .... now I need another set !

Seat bottom in Designo Silver two tone A203 910 16 92 7F99
Seat backrest in Designo Silver two tone A203 910 82 47 7F99
Shifter A203 260 19 40 or 15 40
Steering wheel A203 460 16 03 .

Then there is the back seat .........

Better check with BigSis but not until Steve is travelling in the USA, not sleeping much and seeing hardly anything.
