Which oil do you ppl prefer for your mb's?

People usually say they prefer Mobil synthetic. I just had my "A" service and my dealer uses Castrol. Is this anything to be concerned about?

in the owner's manual they list castrol syntec as one of the approved products... actually it may be in the service guide. i can't remember.

Fuzzo, I agree with you, for MB's sold in the US with maintenance service included for 4-years. But I think Lastmafio is asking because the oil is NOT included in Canadian maintenance commitments. Right Lastmafio?

I like session's preference for Mobil 1 0W-40. I haven't seen it on the shelves here in Dallas, though. 5W-30, yes, but 0W-40, no. If I could find it, I would prefer it over Castrol, once I have to start buying it on my own.

I also use Mobil1 0W/40 in mine. This is what my dealer puts in the car on service A & B.

shoot... i couldn't find any 0w-40 oil and i ended up putting half quarter of 0w-30 oil into the engine, is that okay??

it's in the manual. it's "okay" depending on the temperatures in your area.
