I've got NOKYA 9006 Arctic White fog bulbs right now (pre-warning, I don't like them that much). Doesn't match the bi-x as well as I thought it would. I had 9006 NOKYA Arctic Purple before and I kinda liked how those looked better, but at some point, (whenever I get my front bumper - whichever aftermarket one I choose) I think I'm going to go with Yellow bulbs or a HID conversion). I think you'll like the Arctic white's with your Silverstars. It'll match a little bit more than they do with my HID/BI-X.

City lights, I have PIAA Xtreme white. I Love those (even though I really want to change to LED, but too lazy to splice in equalizers).

For anyone else searching and coming across this thread, there is a Lighting FAQ created in 2002...maybe a little outdated but still quite helpful if you are clueless about the lighting:

Hey artur, that has to be a Zaino coat over your car, right?

Trying out some yellow bulbs for the upcoming San Diego "winter" season. It does actually get real foggy on the coast here. These are the "Luminics jdm yellow h7" in the high beams.

The car does look gorgeous... it's also an '06, right? That explains the mint condition of the paint. I love how black looks when it's new and free of swirl marks.

okay, I thought I would resurrect this thread, instead of starting a new one. I have bi-xenons and I'm trying to find a good match for them for the fogs. Anyone have a good matching setup? I got Piaa Spark blue for my fogs, and they were too blue. i was thinking Silverstars.....anyone have stock bi-xenon and silverstar fogs? Any pics or recommendations of other setups?

The only way to match your Bi-Xenons is to get xenons for your fogs.

Yup, I 2nd this.

Any halogen bulb you try to match to the BI-X will not really match. I've had Nokya Arctic Purple bulbs in my car before and now have Nokya Arctic White bulbs and neither really matched well. I liked how the arctic purple looked better than the Arctic white, but either way they just didn't match up that close.

You can try PIAA Extreme white bulbs, but those are pretty expensive, just for foglight bulbs.

What worked for me before were $20 dollar SPP bulbs (supremepowerparts) - I thought they matched the 4300Ks very well actually. But I've moved on since .

OK - where do I find these? Do you mean to tell me that the turn signals flash through the black?

Keep in mind, such coloured bulbs will leave a blue tint to your clear lenses, and will fade as you use them so they will slowy stop matching the colour of your BI-Xenons. Also, although the colour might match, the intensity will not and it will still look off in my opinion.

Just to make sure, the picture I left up there is one of 6Ks in the fogs AND headlights... I'll try to dig up a picture of the SPPs and post it later.

You know DACHIGGA, if you just made us all some custom LED tail light circuit boards or conversions or whatever, you would be a rich man. Something along the lines of.. say.. C-klasse DTM? . You're the most experienced LED'er out there in benz world, why not? If they can do it to S-class tails right?

Sounds like an idea to me. I agree with you, filp.

How 'bout it Dachigga? You already went crazy with the interior!...LOL...But for real, you did some nice work with LED's already...it'd be interesting to see.

It's really a matter of time and funding, being a 3rd year University student, I curently have neither......

Ona serious note, a lot of things that can be done are not done simply because they are bothersome. Much like the current situation with the bulb out errors. If Mercedes had simply used a voltage drop or circuit tester, instead of the current drawn/power used route for their bulb out, we would not even need to use load equalizers for LEDs.....

Dion.

Since you have halogen bulbs, you might want to try the (Super White). If you are up for it and have the proper tools, go with LED 194's (they have applications with 4/6/9 LED's integrated into one 194 bulb) and you MUST tap in a load stabilizer/equalizer in order for this to work properly.
Drex: I got w5w led bulb, it has 4leds per bulb ,tried to install it tonight bit it just blinks once in a while. I guess I need to tap the load equalizer/stabilizer. How is it done any instructions?

I am also going to install HID fogs, do I need to tap them also?

Thanks again

Ed, the load equalizer is easy. I haven't done it yet, but it should be one grond and one positive. The load equalizer should be polorized +/- and have wires extending out from the equalizer. It has to be tapped into the parking light wires (i.e. wire taps, barrel taps, whichever is easiest).

HID fogs is a different story. HID headlight bulbs need a ballast in order to work. I believe there is a company on the other site that sells a plug and play kit for the fogs.

Drex: The load equalizer is it a device? I am lost when it comes to electrical can you explain it a little more please.

But from what I gather from your post it's just basically find the +/- wires off the parking lights and tap them to the wedge bulb/citylight socket ?

I got a plau and play Hid kit gonna install sunday I will let you guys know
