I got a plau and play Hid kit gonna install sunday I will let you guys know

Yes, the load equalizer/stabilizer is a small little box that has a +/- wire runing in and out. The wires for the city lights need to be cut, then you are going to be integrating the equalizer into the wiring.

Check on ebay for load equalizer or load stabilizer and you should be able to see pics of what it looks like. It'll make more sense when you see it.

If you are lost when it comes to electricals, don't do it. Just buy bulbs. If you're willing to take a chance and DIY, that's up to you. My suggestion would just be to swap the bulbs with PIAA Extreme White bulbs or something of that nature.

No matter what, it will be very difficult to match up the lights.

I did some research and found some block resistors. I think that is what everyone is using. The ones I found are 10omh/10watts is that too much or not enough?

Thanks

Well 10 ohm 10 watts resistors will burn......10 ohms on a 13.6V circuit gives you around 18.5 watts. That will be two much for citty lights and not enough for turn signals, Also, if the resistors are rated at 10 watts, they will not be able to stand the 18.5 watts you are putting through them.

Ok, I am going to kind of hijack this thread, because this is exactly the thread I was GOING to post, but decided to search around before!!!!

I have exactly what artur has, a C230 Sport Sedan and I want the updated lights blah blah. I currently have the stock halogens, and ALL I WANT is for them to look like xenons... I do not want a conversion kit, I just want a really bright white or a blueish tinted light.

I would prefer the low beam, fog lights, and city lights. I don't think I need the high beams.... no?

I appreciate the help, and trust me, I have read through this thread thoroughly and other reviews and I just want to make sure I have the correct shopping list.

Vilen Dank.

I am putting them on my city lights, what do you sugg. for the city light

Also how do you calculate it? Is there a conversion site or table I can go by?

Thanks

I have a 2002 C240 with the standard H7 bulbs for city lights and L, I don't have the money to buy xenon conversion kits, etc. but I would like to replace the H7, specially the city light since it looks yellow even with a superwhite H7ST.
What do you guys do what should I use? Also side markers, etc? I would like to change them all with improved bulbs without changing the original equipment. Thanks !

Get Piaa Extreme white (H7 headlights, w5w (194) parking lights, 9006/HB4 foglights).

That's the best way for you to go, if you want a xenon "look" without doing a conversion.

2005 C230 Kompressor Sedan Black/Black
Does anyone know of a place in San Diego/La Jolla that sells a variety of these bulbs? I used to go to a store called Custom Images in OC that sold a lot of bulbs and other mods. Any similar stores around here?

There are 2 H7 lights on the front, I guess low/high, the one to the inside has the Yellow look, will that turn a white color if I install the H7 Extreme White? because I installed a Sylvania H7ST (super white) and it remained Yellowish, it doesn't look as dull, but still yellowish.

You are the 1st person to explain the Halogen setup to me. I didn't realize that there were 2 bulbs, just like the BI-X. Well, if you change the headlights to H7 PIAA Extreme white, you might as well do it for the high beams also. No matter what, none of the halogen lights are Yellow or Orange. When the project light, it's more off-white. That being said, if you went with PIAA Extreme white, you would be getting more of a "whiteish" beam than the regular halogen bulbs.

No matter what, you're not gonna get anything close to HID/XENON regardless of what type of Super white/Extreme white you go with.
