Does tiptronic really help the C230K SC? I heard it gives you more torque but i really dont feel the difference besides on the launch

Not really, you couldn't do any better than what the auto does. Its only real use is for those who like having more control over the downshifting for cornering for instance. Other than that, once the novelty wears out you will hardly use it.

I only use it for switching lanes. It helps somewhat but then again I'm so used to driving manual. Left foot still looking for that clutch!

I use it when there's traffic on the freeway, keep my gear on third. I hate it when it goes up to 4th and then goes down to third because of traffic.

Tiptronic is one reason MB is appealing to me less and less. When my dad and I were shopping for the c230k we specifically wanted a 6speed. And at this one dealership the guy kept going on and on about how it's the same and annoying (typical dealer whose trying to sell you the car). Anyways, no matter how good the mercedes automatics are (even the AMG's), there are still no where near the control and feel that you get from a true manual car...

i like to use it to down shift, or sometimes i keep it one gear below so its at 3k rpms, so when i press the gas, i feel the torque and i get pushed back...
