Modding Questions!!
Still a new member here's my car as of now
My future mod list is
* Tint: 15-20%
* C55 Rear spoiler (getting installed next week)
* Illuminated Door sills (getting installed next week)
* Euro impact strips
* Coilovers
* In Dash dvd/nav
* 2 JL Audio 10inch subs
* Painted Calipers
* powder coat rims
Now I had some questions about some of the mods i eventually want to get...
1. I previously had a 02 Audi 3.0 Quattro...and suprisingly (or not) my c230k is actually faster, but it does not handle as well by far....what could i get to make the handling the same as my audi if not better? Would the coilovers take care of that?
2. What kind of coilovers would you guys recommend? ANd how much are they?
3. I like the look of the CL grill, how much does that cost and where can i find it?
4. Today at the service department the guy helping me was telling me about a flat front badge that was soem kind of special edition mb one (he said something about it saying something about is saying stuttgart on it). Have any of you heard of this and have any pics or info (pricing etc?)
5. Carbon fiber hood? Ive tossed the thought of it around a little bit...Any info,pricing, links, etc on that?
just an example of the cf hood, i dunno about the rest of the car
6. Is there any kind of front cf diffuser for the w203? Or any kind of front or rear kit i could add without taking off the front end that is already there? ANyone have any links or pricing info on these?
ie: (these are extreme examples, but just so ya'll know what i mean)

Where did you get the wheels from? Did you need to use spacers? (I'm in So. Cal. too, so hopefully I can find a place.)
Neal in the C32 forum is working on the CF front diffuser and should hopefully have it available soon...
As for the CF hood, Cappa has one for the w203 and is selling it.

Also, I don't have the link, but BlackC230Coupe is Neal's SN and there is a post on it in the C32/C55 forum...
I thought there wouldn't be any rubbing problems with 18's... weird. I guess I'll have to find out who supplies Caliber. Thanks!

you really need to search the MBWorld forum for all of your questions.
They have all been discussed at length many times before, and rather than have everything repeated here once again, you can search, and then post questions on those items, which have not been posted on.
for example, like nlpamg said, check out the C32 forum here,
and do a search for diffuser.
Look up Cappa26 or search for CF hood, and you can PM here, and set up a deal.
Also, look at the stickys at the top of the W203 forum. Many answer most of the suspension and modding questions you ask. Exhaust your resources, starting here on MBWorld, and branching out into this thing called the WWW.
Then, if your question is too specific and not answered, you can ask, and most of us are more than happy to help.

Coilovers would take care of some of it. You can also add stronger/wider SWAY BARS (plenty of choices)

Sorry e, Love. Got side tracked there for a second. Welcome to the boards! Car looks great. Now it's all downhill (money-wise) for all the mods. Good luck with all your aspirations modding the car. And keep everybody posted on your stuff.

Check out the 2 suspension threads at the top of the w203 forum. It's in the Aftermarket Modifications / DIY thread
Again, you can take a look at the 2 suspension threads above, do a search for "aftermarket suspension", "springs", "shocks", etc...Suspension has been discussed so many times on the boards that you should be prepared to READ A LOT. Just to give you the basics, TEIN has the best "bang-for-the-buck" with their coilovers and prices. There is a member on here who did initial R&D for the 320/240 sedans and I completed R&D for the 230 K SS. The prices are listed on their website, but there are a few sponsors and contacts on this board that I'm sure can help you out if you decide to go that route. Also, you can consider the KW V2's or the Bilstein PSS-9's. Both coilovers and around the same price as TEIN Super Streets (depending on what kind of deal you get). This isn't as simple as "get this and you'll be happy". It all depends on several factors (also been discussed on certain suspension threads
formymercedes.com. This has also been discussed several times on the boards. Search for CL grille and I'm sure you'll turn up quite a few hits. Just make sure to search in the w203 forums.
Lots of people have flat hood emblems on here. Whether it says Stuttgart, not sure 'bout that. Search would probably turn up some good hits
I guess Cappa already helped on this one. VIS makes them, don't they?
Lots of add-on lips available, but no real diffusers like shown. Kleeman has a front lip that is really nice (and really pricey), but it only fits on sport models or AMG. i.e., no 2004.5 or prior models. Only 2005 and up
Lots of shops can do it. In fact, this can be a DIY (Do It Yourself), but if you're not real mod-savvy, take it to a body shop. There is a shop in El Monte that is good called Auto Werks. Or you could go the expensive route with 20/20 or Wet Works Garage
MBenzNL (aka Steve). Do a search for his name "MBenzNL" and you'll find it. Gotta ask him for pricing.

Lots of add-on lips available, but no real diffusers like shown. Kleeman has a front lip that is really nice (and really pricey), but it only fits on sport models or AMG. i.e., no 2004.5 or prior models. Only 2005 and up
