Does anybody know where this foam piece goes?
The car is a 2002 C32. I noticed this foam piece sitting on the floor under the driver's side dash. I found it sitting exactly like it is in the pic.
Anybody have any idea where that foam piece goes? It doesn't seem like it could've fallen down from somewhere inside the panel below the dash, so I'm guessing somehow its supposed to be stuck onto the gas pedal?
Here's a pic of the foam. Its juss a regular piece of squishy foam. Feels a little sticky/oily/dirty. I'm sure its from the car because I don't think my shoe could've picked up something that big. =)

I just went out and felt the back of my pedal, and that is not it. My pedal was plastic on the back side. Not too sure where that is from.

I posted the same picture twice by accident. Check out the second picture. It doesn't seem like its been ripped from anything. It has a parallelogram shape. I haven't taken apart the console, so I don't think it could've came from the shifter.
The reason why I'm really wondering is because of the shape of the foam. It doesn't look like just a piece of foam that was stuffed somewhere.

that foampiece is stuck to the right topside of the accelerator...in between of the accelerator and carpet...doesn't do anything there anyways...

Ohh okay. Right here right?
I reached back there right next to the accelerator and feel tape stuck on the plastic...there's also some tape hanging down. I guess it was just taped on there. Thanks! I'll probably juss stuff it back in there.
