Can you tell the difference between a truck and car? To think that a E or S or C class could be confused between each other makes you a complete moron in addition to your other pointless posts

that's what i was trying to figure out. unless he has the performance package which is called the M-tech package in some countries and just put it on there. i know the 330 with Mtech package comes from the factory with an ///M badge on the trunk. don't know why they don't do it like that here in the US.

just saw a steel gray M3 w/ red leather over the weekend that was debadged. personally i like the look on the M's w/ the badge since it's so small and i like the M motorsports colors, but if i had an AMG, debadging it would be the first thing i'd do to it. i don't like too many badges on a car or long badges. everyone thought my 330 was a 325 but i really didn't care what people thought since i liked the clean look. there are some people who want everyone to know they have an amg, some who could care less and debadge it cause they like and others who like the badges. looks like some in this thread just have to let everyone know they're driving an AMG. true enthusiasts will know the difference anyway with or without badges, most who don't know the difference probably don't even know what an AMG or ///M is. can't count how many times people have asked me what's so special about an M3 or AMG

yeah i see what your saying, but what i meant was that maybe he was trying to put an M on it to represent the Mtech but obviously it wasn't the right badge. M tech package has the actually ///M badge but no number after it. i really don't know what else he could have been thinking

why all "almost members" say the same thing about the de-badged rear end!!!
In europe its an factory option, my two MB are de-badged from factory
Many of the older members have done it and it looks great. :p

About the re-badging, its not a cool thing

I debadged today; very clean look. (I'd post pic's but it looks just like first poster)

Very, very easy compaired to debadging my Jetta three years ago; there must be a big difference in the tack of the adhesive.

Some people say that dabadging is done to try to fool people, some people say to looks better - to that I say "yes"! It does look better and it does fool people, which is fine with this model - let people think I spent 55 large on my car.

Thumbs up Me likey.

I'm debadging my newly acquired C55, leaving the star in back and replacing the front grill with a '06 CLK and flat hood badge.

So, I like the look, and give a for the cleanness.

it's real easy bro. i use a hairdryer and dental floss. heat up the letters and slide the dental floss behind it and it comes right off. then i use some rubbing alcohol to get off any excess glue and a couple coats of wax to finish it off. i love the way it look. i debadged my infiniti I30t, 330Ci and now C230

I think u should leave it on, or maybe just have it....

C230K (take the KOMPRESSOR off) and put the K there

I should rebadge my car "CL203" or "320SC"

I think to do it up right, you should put a badge for each option that you car has.....C230Kompressor6SpeedBiXenonAMGSportSedan

Problem is that you would have to take off the Star to make room....It could run all the way across the trunk...................or better yet, get a LED banner that rotates messages and doubles as sequential turn signals!

Geez, give the guy a break...if he wants to go badgeless, more power to him. I will be doing the same to my car regardless of the model. Maybe when I'm 75, I'll start liking the chrome thing again.
