Schrick cams installed

I got my shrick installed on my C320 coupe.

I feel a nice a improvement in the top end of the RPM range.

The sound, along with the Evosport Headers and Eisenmann Race exhaust is AWESOME

Nice. I was considering installing C350 cams on my C320. Where did you get the schrick cams and how much? Or I might just forget cams and headers and just go for a supercharger. What do you think about Supersprint SS headers?

Is the exhaust a lot louder with the headers? I'm concerned that it would be obnoxiously loud with headers and eisenmann exhaust. I removed the resonator, so the exhaust is quite loud already. Also, with the new cams, have you noticed any shaking or noise during idle?

That's sweet! I just wish the M271 had engine upgrades already (although, I'm kinda glad the "significant" power mods aren't available yet cuz I can focus my money towards appearance mods first).

Because I wanted a 2 door coupe (hatch) with a 6-speed manual transmission and not a 4 door sedan with a slush box.

I got the schrick cams from Brad at Evosport. PM me for price.

I do not have the Supersprint Headers. I have the Evopsort Headers.

It is louder, but not a lot louder. There is a little bit shaking at Idle, but barely noticeable.

I have pics of the cams install and videos of the sound of the exhaust with headers + eisenmann exhaust + Cams and one with headers and exhaust only.
PM me if interested.

This should be interesting.

The 3.5L engine is a four valve head...two cams per bank....your car is SOHC, with 3 lobes, for the three valves.

Pointing out the obvious is a requirement for the Nobel Prize. It's not such a handicap !

I wasn't sure if I could install the C350 cams on my car either. I thought the engine block was entirely different, but a local reputable mechanic told me it would work. We'll see. If anybody could shed more light on the C350 cam compatibility with a C320 M112 engine, let me know please.

The new engine is based on the old engine...the block is a new casting, but the bores and crank are still on the same centers. There's a lot that's familar, but its still far too different to be interchangeable. The heads are the biggest change- twin cams on each head, and four valves per jug. The old arrangement had 3 valves per, with a single cam driving them. MB said it was for emissions, but its more likely that it was done as a way to cut cost...you got better breathing than with a single intake and exhaust like on a two valve, but you didn't have the cost of another pair of cam shafts and everything that goes with them.

If you have a 3.2L now, there was a 238HP 3.7L version of this engine that went in the old ML350. Most if not all of those parts should fit on your engine...its probably just an overbore.

Depends on which 350 you mean. The new 4 valve 350 cams definitely are not compatible. There is a 3 valve 350 engine but I bet it uses the same cam as the 320.

And what did it do to the bottom of the RPM range? Did it move the torque curve up as well? Any dyno results? I'm curious how much $ it is.
