Another Successful MBenzNL Trip to Chicago...

It was another successful Chicago install for Steve and the rest of the Midwest Benz's. This time around we were lucky with the weather as it cooperated with flying colors; blue skies with temps in the 70's. Much better than the November 2004 trip which brought snow or the March 2005 which brought snow & rain, yuk! So this past trip 10/15-10/16 we got very lucky as Chicago weather can change each day.

So on behalf of the Chicago leg, we wanted to personally thank both Steve and Wanda for all the goodies everyone got, call it an early Halloween Treat. I know personally how excited all of you guys got as I saw the excitement in your faces when your car was completed for the mods you ordered. You all reminded me of my little boys when I take them to Toys-R-Us, big grins on their faces. Although I did not have any installs to my car on this 5th trip to Chicago, I was still glad to participate as the host garage.

This time around we had 9 Benz's showering the streets of Chicago or at least on my block. We had the following; C230 coupe-John:repeat(KS), S500-Naeem(IN), C32/S55/SL500-Chase:repeat(IL), C230-Louis:repeat(WI), CLS500-HJ(OH), E55-John(WI), G500-David(IL), E55-Gene(MI), E55-Ernesto(MI) and yours truly (Steve collecting parts for me). All beautiful cars, enjoy the mods as I'm sure you've all created your wish list for Steve's next visit.

So for anyone reading this for the first time and considering a MBenzNL modification, you'll read enough great feedback here to help make your decision final. For example, when I was talking to Naeem (S500 & first-time Benz owner), he stated he was a bit nervous when he placed his order but after the installation was complete he was very grateful for the overall experience as it was beyond his own expectations. So again, great job Steve and Wanda.

Good luck to you all and hope to see you again next year.

Nothing MB related (sorry)
Erwin,

As always, I am very grateful with all the help you provided. Not only by hosting Steve, but also by helping me co-ordinate the trip. Takes away some of the pressure for me.

I hope all Chicago participants are happy with their mods - although I heard (or rather read) back from a few that they are already enjoying their new 'toys'.

The pleasure was ours - and we hope to see you again during a next Chicago trip. That is, if Erwin doesn't mind having Steve in his garage again.

And Erwin, maybe you can take Steve to the indoor karting again, next time.

Artur, if you want bi xenons, please email us at info@MBenzNL.com.

greetingz,

BigSis

I still can't believe that you didn't get any goods Erwin! That would be so hard on me to watch and not get anything. It was a great weekend and the weather was perfect. Until the next time we all meet........

Talk about timing. We got the weather perfect, blue skies/70's but unfortunately or fortunately (if you are a Chicago fan) the Chicago White Sox flew back into Midway airport causing a whole lot of fans crowding the streets and airport just waiting for a glimpse of this soon to be World Series Champions (well at least that's my prediction).

Good luck with the rest of the trip and keep in touch.

Same question as the above post, is that oem headrest monitor? Are u using factory euro command w/external dvd player? Can it still play dvd when the car is in motion? Can factory euro command play dvd if u upgrade it somehow? How much did it cost you for those headrest monitor? But im afraid if i put those headrest monitors, "bad people" will look after my car eh? Last, how do they work? Did u drill the chair for the wiring? Too many questions, sorry. Thanks.
