2006 C230 Kompressor vs 2006 C240

Hi guys

I need to ask you something and I really hope you would help.

I want to buy a mercedes benz the C-Class, but I'm not sure which type should I buy, I need your recommendations on this one...

What I really want to know is which one is faster:

2006 C-Class 230 Kompressor OR 2006 C-Class 240

So which one do you recommend me? the 230k or 240??

Thanks guys and I look forward to your replys.

Cheers

well the 2006 C230 is not a kompressor motor. It's a V6. Just go to the dealer and test drive them. You shouldn't buy a car based on others opinions.

Thanx bro for clearing things to me... I didn't know that they canceled the Kompressor for the C230. I would diffenetly choose the C350 but do you know how much it costs in my country?!! it costs about $50,400 !!!!!!!

That's one of the reasons why I hate my country :p

Anyways,

Do you guys know how many seconds it takes for the C230(2.5L V6) from 0 to 60 ?

In Taiwan, the 2006 C350 with auto cost about $80,298 USD and C55 cost about $107,164 USD , I feel lucky I moved to here because the car is a lot cheaper here than Taiwan !!

There are faster cars out there........ benz and fast don't go together unless you wanna drop down the clams for AMG. Sorry but it's the truth. The benz is a nice car with nice driveability, which is why I bought it. If you want fast then get something else so you don't regret it later.... just my honest opinion for you.

the operating costs for the C280 will be less than the C230 since it comes with the regular tires. C230 comes with the z-rated tires which will need to be replaced much sooner. I replaced my tires a few months ago. It cost almost a grand.

that's your choice to go with Z-rated tires. A C230 does NOT NEED Z-rated tires.
That's just what they sold you the car with. Put on whatever the C280 came with, and level the playing field.

you spent a grand on tires? What kind of specialty tires did you buy? They have Z's running as low as 66 for sumitomo's on tirerack. Please enlighten us.......

I am running a staggered set of 18's and tires don't run me a grand. Around 600 including installation btw......

i didn't go for the z-rated tires again since I don't want to replace the tires every year, so I got the Bridgestone Potenza RE750. With labor and other charges and sales tax, the bill came to $956.79

Those tires are 154 @ tirerack. Doing the math, I am assuming that you had something else done as well... alignment, etc?
