Does anyone else get a creak sound when getting out of the car?
When I get out of my car after a drive I hear a fairly loud creak coming from the rear wheel. What could it be? Am I just to heavy and my car cant take me anymore?

2005 230 Sport Sedan, Brilliant Silver, 6 Spd, Heated Seats, Sunroof, CDC, Flat Emblem, Clear Sides,
Had just taken mine to the dealership for that very reason. They said that all the bushings were fine, but that the parking brake causes the noise, and is completely normal - not that I liked the answer

i get that same exact noise!
is there a fix for it? i do know i put the parking brake on past the point of "stiffness" it does not do it... but will i break something (cable, etc.) if i continue to press the brake down that hard?

As far as I am concerned there are several things classed as normal which are not the least bit acceptable
- weak parking brake
- noisy bushings / sway bar (wrong lubricant for starters)
- oil leakage into passenger footwell (under carpet)
- camshaft actuator noise (5th generation part fixes it)
- catalytic converter noise
Ever notice on the early W203 that the engine makes an annoying rattle noise when you start ?
And the list goes on .... most if not all of these the dealer pats you on the head and tells you to stop imagining things.
