I just saw a desert silver C230 coupe, and I'm almost 99% sure that there wasn't a desert silver for '02 so I assume that's a '03 model. Anywyas, that car had the evolution package,so, I think that the sport package is still available, at least in Canada.

Desert silver is available on the coupe in 2002. I think sport package refers to the sedan (5 spoke wheels, leather interior, textured aluminum trim, etc.) and not the evolution package or c7 for the coupe

The Coupe's C7 package hasn't been dropped for 2003. Also, the marketing guys finally realized that there is a short shifter in there as well. Still the best $750 deal ever by Mercedes.

Trench, the best deal ever from Mercedes was the C6 sport package in 2000. It had leather, stiff suspension, cf trim, "sport" shift knob, and nice looking for wheels for $900!!
That article makes a good point, Audi no longer holds the AWD advantage w/MB, Jag, & BMW all offering at least one AWD model.
