Side Mirror Heating Not Working

I have a 2005 C230 Coupe. I have Steve-installed euro anti-blindspot side mirrors. With the recent rain and cold weather here in the Northwest, I've noticed that the passenger side mirror stays clear, but the drivers side mirror does not. Yesterday, I got out and felt the mirrors and the passenger side one was warm and the driver's side was not.

First, I assume they are both supposed to be heated? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Second, has anyone had this problem? I assume the problem could be with the actual mirror, the car, or the connection between the two. Any simple tests/checks to narrow the problem down?

I did not have the car long enough before getting the new mirrors installed to know whether it worked with the old mirrors.

Put back the old mirror and see if it heats.

Doesn't it take a special tool to get the mirror housing open? It did not look like that easy of a process to swap mirrors. If someone has instructions, please post them.

when I replaced the cracked drivers side mirror on my 2000, It didn't get hot. I bought a new one, which I had my body shop install, since I wasn't confident the first one was installed right, and it turned out it wasn't fully plugged in! since I paid less for the second one, and already had a return authorization for the first one, I never did find out if it was faulty. you should email steve, but I bet it's the plug not being tight.

...there are 2 pkugs in the back of the glass....one is a 4 pin plug and then there is a second plug for a single ground wire - it might be that that second one is disconnected...those auto dimming driverside glasses we use are all new - should work.

If both connectors are plugged in - the dealership can have a look at the fault codes in the driverside door control module to see what it sais about the mirror heating.
