I'm quite surprise that this feature is quite accurate. Today, I drove my car until it said I had 1.8 gallons left in the tank. I went to the gas pump, pumped in some premium gas at $2.32/gallon and when finished, the pump meter said I had pumped 14.44 gallons total. Well, if my math is correct, it's almost right on the dot.

16.3 gallons - 1.8 gallons left = 14.5 gallons needed to fill the tank

I got 14.44 gallons at the pump. Pretty cool feature. Now, I don't have to worry about how many gallons I have left when the needle is close E. Another thing, the fuel indicator light comes on at 2 gallons. Just thought I share with everyone!

It's a feature that needs to be added on (or made present) through Star Diagnose. One of those features that the stock US MB's don't show.

I have found it to be very accurate as well. I am sure glad that we have Steve around.

Maybe someone could post the Star menu sequence so that we can give to the Service people, in case they don't know it.

i got his on my car....go into your menu to wear it says your gas milage and what your gettin per gallon and press down...i have a 2005 c230 from Florida...it is very accurate when it says 0 it means 0 lol i ran out of gas

You cannot activate this feature using a standard SDS system at the dealer. It needs to be a modified system which Steve and I currently offer to US customers.

better make that stock W203 C-class don't have...

the W210 and W208 had this feature set to present.

i want to enable it as well. for right now ill just have to deal with miles left!

btw, the manual says the light comes on with 2 gallons reserve remaining.

Mercedes Benz reads these forums ..... so maybe someone suggested it should be made standard again. It wouldnt be the first time something popular on this forum has ended up in production cars.

he means teh w203 doesnt have it standard and the W210 and W208 had it standard...

aka w203 doesnt display gallons left when you roll the car out off the lot

W210 and W208 displays the gallons left when you roll the car off the lot

so im sorry if im asking this again, but what do we have to do to get this feature since its not standard on the 05 c230 SS?? i know someone said steve will do it but thats only when he is around.. (NJ trip soon?? please) otherwise if we go to the dealer they will pretty much have no idea what to do.. is that correct??

i want this too in case you could tell so anyone that can help on how to get this please do.. thanks
