Hood Latch Handle
Hey, quick question. A friend of mine owns a C240 (2004 or 2005...not really sure) which I was detailing for her today. There were some leaves stuck in various places behind the grill and front bumper which I wanted to get out, so I popped the hood. I've never dealt with having to open this thing, and when I pulled on the little plastic handle to pull the hood up, it snapped off. You can obviously still open the hood by sticking a finger in there and unlatching it.
Question is...how much is this little black plastic handle going to cost to replace? Thanks!

Coincidentally, while cruising the local benz lot...previously owned section,
i noted a couple with similar affliction, ie t-shaped flat plastic tug sticking
in between the grille. yup, one side snapped off. my 99 E320 came with
one side of the "T" snapped as well.
I can only guess that, upon pull, or quick release, it impacts the center
divider of the grill and separates....being a little on the brittle side. it's
flat black and blends into the shadows so i've not felt compelled to fix
it right off....until i get around to detailing and fixing things as I go.

Won't exceed $100? I hope that was an exaggeration

Whew...that's good. I figured maybe they would, but then again I thought maybe it wouldn't be something covered under the warranty. Again, it's not my car, so I don't choose where it goes...
Thanks for the replies, guys...thanks for proving all the stereotypes I had in my head upon registering here wrong. You guys are alright
