iPod integration question

Oh does it? This is either some smart kit or mine isn't working properly. When I park my car and get back in the next morning, I've opened the glove box to find the iPod with Mercedes-Benz logo on the screen -- which makes me think it stays on 24/7.... unless its because I opened a door and "woke things up".... Has anyone else noticed their iPod never turning off when connected? On second thought - I wonder if there is an option for this in the iPod settings....

I sat in the car and watched it a few moments ago, and the iPod does indeed turn itself off after its normal delay when the car is turned off and the key is removed from the ignition.
The iPod wakes up when the doors are unlocked using the keypad or when the key is inserted into the ignition. That's actually a nice touch. It avoids the delay inherent in the Alpine integration kit.

2005 C200 Sport Edition Sedan
Hi all, I am a new Member from Australia. Just picked up our (my wife's) new C200 Sport Edition a couple of Weeks ago. It has the AMG Bodykit on it which is awsome. I have been wondering about the IPOD Kit. Is it difficult to self install?
And also what does it actually control? Can you go through Albums? Or Playlists? Or all songs? I know that with other IPOD Kits you can only control playlists so what does this one actually do?

Yes you can go through the albums, artist, all songs, and or play list.
It isn't that hard to install (if you have a technical side), I did it in about 1.5 - 2 hours. Just make sure you get all the instructions online about taking the dash apart, and also make sure you connect the fiber optics in the new plug (you'll know what I mean when you do it).
