I4 Kompressor

Hmm, i had this though the other day, and thought i would ask for suggestions from the more reputable members of this board.

What do you guys think of putting I4 Kompressor on the front fenders of the car, like the V8 Kompressor's or V6 Kompressors?

It is afterall true, so it wont be misleading everyone.

I'm not sure yet if this would look good or not, but what do you think?

Vote, as well as give me your 2 cents.

Although I don't consider myself "one of the reputable" members, I had to vote "eh" until I see it. Off hand, I don't think it will flow right.

I agree.

One caveat though, is that if I were to do this, I'd probably debadge the rear b/c kompressor on the sides and the rear would probably be too much...

you could just leave the kompressor badge on the fender.....I4 doesn't sound too intimidating.

I think you may have been mistaken, I was kinda unclear. I'd remove all the "I4" altogether and just keep "kompressor".

lol one day i was in a shopping mall driving around and found out a W203 saying is C55, so it really made me stop and look, when i look, i found only one mufflers (4 for real C55), it got 05 C230K wheel and brake, and when i look at his other side, it got AMG tag there too, the most stupid things is he got a word Kompressor right under AMG tag, i was like WTF?? IF IS AMG THEN IT CAN'T BE KOMPRESSOR RIGHT MATE?? that guy really got his sticker stick so tight and close together which make everything ugly.....

Kompressor means Supercharged... supercharged AMG's still say Kompressor on the front fenders. Although that was definitely a Fake C55, i would get your facts straight.

When people look at the car, they assume its powered by MB! That is just a pointless badge. Now if you had a crossfire, I would put the "Powered by Mercedes-Benz" badge that you see on the Dodge/Freightliner Sprinter.

BTW the old slk used to have kompressor on the fenders as well which is where I got the idea from. Looks great and most people think it's an amg because the don't know any better or they think the car came with that badging.

I don't really like the thought of putting I4 Kompressor on the fenders, but Kompressor on the fenders would probably be alright.

In fact, I thought of doing that before, but decided against it because I really don't want anyone thinking I'm running a debadged C32. Don't need M3's, S4's and the like reving on me, trying to bate me to race.

I definitely don't think I4 Kompressor would look right. Just doesn't sound very intimidating at all or visually appealing as "V6 or V8 Kompressor". Just my $.02

nice! can't wait for the pics!

that's exactly what I was thinking with the SLK. I believe that it only said SLK230 in the rear as well and then just had kompressor at the fenders. The SLK230 Sport didn't have kompressor at the fenders but the sport badges and kompressor at the rear.

I'm just sayin' if I were to put the Kompressor badges on the side, it would probably happen. So many people into tuning, especially here in L.A., that everybody wants to race and stuff. Not worth drawing that attention IMO.

I4 kompressor makes sense, but where are you going to get the I and the 4? I don't think MB has ever made the right size badge with the I and 4 you're looking for.

I bought a couple of V6 kompressor badges, took off the V6, and just mounted the kompressor on both fenders. I also debadged the rear completely (both the C230 and the kompressor).

It looks hot (IIDSSM). Recommended.
