teleaid malfunction...

hi guys. i asked in the c32 section. i have that annoying '1 malfunction' about me not having teleaid. i do not want it. i know the first year is free... but i dont want it period. and i dont think i should be extorted into taking it to not see the error message.

anyone find a solution to this???

Are you saying that you are getting this message now? I cancelled my teleaid and never got a malfunction message. However, when I first bought the car, I used to get this message before I had the chance to set it up.

If you are getting this message after cancelling, I would think the dealer could reset it for you.

i never took the free teleaid. the car is brand new. and i have the error every single day. i called mbusa and my dealer, neither of them can get rid of it, or so they claim.

Ahh, I see. I think this is an easy fix. You need to press the "help" button to contact Teleaid (you have to do this from the vehicle and not over a regular or cell phone) and tell them that you are not taking the free service (although if it's free, I don't know why you would not take it). Hopefully, that will remove the error message.

Either that or you can activate the service and then call the next day to cancel it.

i'll try the 'help' idea, thanks.

i have read every thread about this, and many people report that it comes back after a while of being unactive.
