Is there even any difference between the coupe and sedan motors?

C 230K Coupé
How are they just for the coupe? The coupe and the sedan both have the same motor. Only thing I could think off is that the layout is different and for that reason they would make it different. Why would they do the coupe first also? There are a ton more sedans out there than coupes. That's just a bad business decision...

1st of all, that's an absolutely RIDICULOUS price for headers! jesus!

#2 i would not trust these headers to fit the 05 M271. As you can see in the listing it says 01-05 Not making sense here.

It's for the M111 engine, not an '05. Go to supersprint's website. That's why it's for the sedan, since they've only got the M271 (along with '03 and up coupes)

and flip - good luck with your project!!

Supersprint's website might not be updated, but then GMP's must not be either. The header you linked to is the same part number as Supersprint's M111 header.

flip, I'm interested, but the holidays are gonna hit me hard (especially cuz I have to order my rims also), so no cash available for that.

Hope the results are good.

then again, if someone can verify that the manifolds of the M111 and M271 are actually the same (as in flange shape) then we're getting somewhere right? IF this holds true then supersprint's design is actually fine.

You can't tell me that you weren't ALSO "all-in" for a pulley kit gaining near the same amount of HP as these headers, right? Headers should be even better for that price point! I tell you just wait a few weeks .

Wait you're telling me we're going to gain over 30hp with headers??

very hard to believe!

Err.. misunderstanding. I mean headers, considering that they're ~1K, are in the same range that some of these pulley kits retail for as well (maybe even cheaper in the end because of installation!). I didn't mention anywhere that 30hp was a gaurantee... but hell I'll shoot for it? (try viewing the "other" MB site.)

Expensive? Compared to what? Headers for a honda? Yea, sure $1k is a lot of money - but when it's one of you few options for some extra power... if you really want it it's worth it.

I'll definitely pay $1k if we can get some headers here that will give us about 15-20 hp, with decent torque gains to match. As flip pointed out $/hp you'd still be in line or better than the pulley kits out there right now. It'd have to be a complete solution though, header+cat+O2 sensor that doesn't throw up CEL's.

You could come up to Tyler and go to BMP Designs, they are the N.A. supersprint dealer. ( they deal mostly with BMW and minis though ) I go buy their place all the time. Looks like pretty nice stuff.

Just to remind everyone again. Kleeman is coming out with their header, for the 2005 ss kompressor enigne, in the begining of 06. As soon as Brandon tells my guys over at RPMracing that there available I will have them installed. I already have the Kleeman pully kit installed and let me tell you what a big improvement! As everyone knows Kleeman says to stick with Kleeman products to get the best results, so it should be worth the wait.
