The Duval site is HERE.

You're under warranty??!? No brainer: don't touch it, let them do it.

BUT, come back and post up what the narrative says on your receipt, with the part numbers.

Thanks,

I checked with the dealer before, service dept. told me this repair would not be covered under warranty. Car is 1999 SLK 230 with 45000 miles on it. I replaced the MAF sensor about 8000 miles ago, hope this is not going to be ongoing item! On the Duval site I found under part #0021406860: Fuel system - Fuel induction - Supercharger - Check valve $59, their price $46.02. No picture I wonder if this is the correct item.

P0410

Yar! How many years later and now my car is getting this error aong with a p0171 error, to lean. Just cleaned the MAF and put in a new upstream o2 sensor. Hoping that will clear the 171 error. interesting to note that P0410 has the potential to put the car into limp mode. I did recently experienced a day when I was driving and the car had almost no power but it did shift gears. I had always read that when the car went into limp mode it stayed stuck in second gear. The check engine light was already on for the p0171 error so I did not notice the error until today while trying to resolve the too lean issue.

However the power came back a couple days later. I had recently had the battery go dead and thought I needed to do the "learning in recirculation valve reset" but instead it seem to have resolved itself.

I guess I will clear the codes and see if it comes back? Or should I leave them and see if they go away by themselves?

Considering all the chatter in this thread did anyone ever end up resolving this issue?

Did anyone ever definitively determine which valve is the correct one to replace to resolve this issue and the part number?

I simply removed the hose between the vacuum solenoid, and check valve (the secondary air injection circuit starts just before the throttle body with an appx. 1" hose), started the car and verified that the solenoid was opening for a minute or so, then closing, which it was. Then I attempted to blow through the check valve into the exhaust, and could not. After removing the check valve, I found it clogged with rusty crap. I installed a new check, reset the cel, and haven't had a problem since. Note; the check valve was a pain to remove since it is located between the engine and firewall, threaded (rusted) on and basically part of the exhaust system. I hope this helps.

Hi,

I havr had this error code come up and also have had both O2 sensors changed on my CLK.

Last week I noticed that there is small flexi black pipe that was just casually hanging off near the front of the engine, My engine light is still on and I now believe that the error could be with the EGR solenoid.

However, I need a diagram that shows the layout of the breather pipes coming from the EGR valve into the solenoid and from there onwards.

I have attached an image of my issue atm, which maybe linked to yours.
