Got an email from Cory at Kleeman today and Kleeman hasn't really determined a set price, although with Supersprint being set at $2,000, I'm thinking Kleeman will try to come in as competitive as the Supersprint header.

All-in-all, 2 G's is definitely a hefty price for just headers, but at the same time, something I would still consider (not necessarily prioritize).

For the longest time on the Kompressor motors, adding cat backs did little to HP...even with a lower restriction cat, the gain was still dirt~5-10HP. So, in one respect, I agree that the factory log jam manifold is ****, but still, 25HP is WAY overly optimistic. I could see a $2000 kit that included a cat back, header, and overboost pulley...that would sell like gangbusters. Even better, make it all available ala carte, and raise the prices so if purchase seperately it would cost you another 200 or 300... I don't see how you couldn't make money that way. Its no wonder tuning german car is becoming a dying breed compared to the Japanese and even the AMERICAN brands, the **** is just outrageously pricedl

Yes you are right again Outland or should I say I agree with you. The heat shield is not a problem on 03's and newer as the blowers are on the cool side of the engines not like the older models. The high prices must be because the Kompressors are almost gone now and wonder how many sales they will get. Hondas are a plenty and lots of market for go fast stuff but MB's are few and the owners that want to modify are even fewer, I'm sure.

2 G's for a kit with cat-back, header and overboost pulley?...Now that's what I'm talking 'bout. Wish that was reality.

You're so right about tuning a JDM or ASPEC vs. a EURO, Outland! My CAI, Cat-back exhaust, headers, and ECU tuning on the MX-6 I had would've been less than 2 G's. Funny thing is, if I had the cash, I'd probably end up paying the exorbant amount of money for headers, a cat-back, pulley kit and ECU flash.

Oh well, I guess that means long savings for me...LOL.

I STFF but couldn't find the answer, where there ever any independent dyno's for the M271 Kleeman headers? 25 hp and 22l bs/tq sounds way too good to be true for just headers.

won't an ECU tune give you the same results for 1/4th the cost? but i guess maybe people interested already have their car tuned and are looking to reach the next plateau
