Service A - before and after

Service A - before and after
My awareness is that there is a 2000 mile window in which my car gets Service A. So if the display states "Service A in 1000 miles" , I can bring it in now or drive approximately 2000 miles more ( 1000 miles past when Service A is due ).
Did I get this right ? Is this documented anywhere ?

I'd just call your service dept. - I'd assume that each handles it differently, and don't think that there is an official policy on this (I might be wrong here).
Unless you have other stuff that you want to get looked at the same time as the Service A, there's no benefit to not waiting the 1k. Where's the fire?

I agree with tommy... each dealer does their own thing. You'll need to call them to ask.
Gee, this is the first time (to my knowledge) anyone has asked if it's OK to drive 1,000 miles BEYOND their FSS mileage. No prob, of course, but it's just that most everyone else wants to change oil early.

I don't understand why it's this way, because MB-USA reimburses the dealer regardless of when they elect to permit customers to bring their cars in. My dealer won't touch my car unless it has less than 1000 miles to go, but as you've seen here, KWIK's dealer was more liberal with his car.
So, the advice really is, call your dealer and ask.
