Steve-
Can you do a day layover on the eastern seaboard? I know there are a few of us who want some re-programming/mods done.

Maybe in the DC/Baltimore/Philly area?

Thanks

For the Hawaii trip.. I would be interested in getting the TPMS activated and the Netherland alarm beep setting. Is that possible? I believe I read somewhere someone (I think sunman?) installed the power trunk closer...is that a Euro option or was that a retrofit?

Could Steve also check my drivers mirror? When it folds in it squeaks really loudly. MB want's to charge me $150 bucks to look at it. I tried some lubricant but it doesn't last for long until the sqeak comes back.

I need to order one of the color matched surrounds for one of my front parktronic sensors. I have the extra sensors steve gave me the last time, but the color matched area around it got whacked my something and the paint is chipping.

sunman never finished installing the trunkcloser...it didn't work in his 203.

the power folding mirrors are known for squeeling which is caused by the rubber touching the mirror cover when folding...the mercedes sunroof lubricant works perfectly on the mirror rubbers - but that lubricant is rathet expensive at MB.

As for the bumperstrips - I still owe you a set which will come with the PTS sensor surounds.

greetingz,
paypal does suck. i didnt realize it until i started working for a credit card processing company. we charge 1.6% if the card is present, 2.15% if it isnt. 4%+ is craaaaazy.

only good thing about paypal is that a lot of ppl use it now and there is no monthly fee... i guess that's where they make $$$ w/ 4% charge! they should lower it to <3%

which paypal simply charges back from the sellers - even after these sellers provide online traceable proof of shipping...not mater wether they are covered by the paypal international seller protection programm (whatever that might be)...

paypal doesn't loose a single dime - that is one thing I am sure off

They force you to link your bank account and withdraw from that, hence no merchant discount fees! They keep all of it.

Why anyone would want to use Paypal is beyond me. You risk all of your money, pay up the a$$ in commission fees, and get ZERO protection. Don't believe me? Just link your bank account, and one day when it gets stolen and some crook cleans out your bank, try and complain to Paypal. You will then know the runaround customer service game that Paypal and eBay play.

On the other hand, with a credit card, the discount rate is like 3 times lower for the merchant, you get all of the order details such as IP address, phone number, CVV2, etc so you can verify against fraud yourself. As a consumer, you get chargeback protection.

Paypal must be the biggest scam artists on the planet.

It depends what you want/need. If you want an AUX jack for your iPod, it is separate. If you want an audio/video adapter to plug in a DVD player, it is separate. Both US and Euro work with the A/V adapter (with video in motion) and AUX and I wanted both of those features for sure. Then you must decide whether you want US or Euro Comand. As far as I know, Steve typically has new US and refurbished Euro Comand units. I wanted a brand new one, so my decision was pretty easy. There are some minor differences between the two, but the most significant for me is that Euro does not get reception on most AM stations, so if you listen to any AM radio you may have some troubles. Good luck!

Blake, thanks for the info. man....here is pretty much what I am looking at using it for- trips to and from LA so I dont waste the gas getting lost and if I decide to take a trip up north or to another state...As for my iPod, I just use my current tape player to run my pod. Um as for the audio/video adapter I really dont know and hey if it can play DVD's thats even better! If not, then I can always look into getting that option(if it is?) later on. But I just need this to help my wacked out sense of direction here in Cali...does that help on anything more?
