So all you want to use your Comand for is navigation?...imagine that! :p If you're currently using your tape deck to run your iPod, then you will definitely want the AUX input added by Steve. I highly recommend the A/V adapter as well because it is sure nice for your passengers to be able to watch DVD while you're driving...especially helps to distract and shut up my wife from complaining about how much I spent on the mods!

 

Steve/Wanda, good luck on the upcoming trip. I would love for you to stop by but it's still very cold here (warm for us since we've been in the 40F temps these past few weeks but this week it is in the freezing temps again) for you.

Got my first door ding a few weeks back; it sucks, I hate it, awful to look at each time I open the door, yuck, yuck, yuck. I guess I'm going to have to see the Dent Wizard, Dent Busters, etc. Actually it's not that bad as most people can't see it but it sucks because I can see it and I know it's there.

Yes... for remaining fuel programming. If you want to get the tilting pass.mirror glass to work (for which you need a different door control module), you do need to make a small deposit to confirm the order - and to prevent us from ordering and shipping goods in vain.

what is needed with this unit to make the tv tuner function work?

 

The TV tuner itself, wiring harness from comand to TV tuner, antenna... It should work right away after the install has been completed, although TV while in motion is something that needs to be versioncoded. If you want it, that is...

And before you ask: we are out of D2B TV tuners at the moment. We can get a brandnew tuner through our own local MB dealership, BUT that will be even more expensive.

Both 1 & 2 seem like a waste of $$$ to me, but hey...if you've got deep pockets, go for it! I'd save up and get Comand...actually, I did a while back and am sure glad I made that decision.

I'd personally go for option 3. Though when I have the extra money i'd take 1 +2 next. COMAND has been a great item for me, its fantastic to be able to find my way anywhere i need to go (provided its not a new street or residence, damn Navigation DVD has ancient information on it)
