Another I-pod question....

Ok I searched the forums for "I-pod", "pod nano".. and didn't really find any useful information about the nano. I read info about the video I-pod but not what I was looking for.....

I just bought the I-pod kit from my local MB dealer for $312.00.

My question is, what I-pod does this kit work with? There's so many different I-pods. I want to get the I-pod Nano so I can use it at the gym and when I go running, but will this be compatible with the MB kit?

Thanks for any information.

Steve just did an install for a guy overseas and I believe that there was a photo with the Nano hooked to the ipod kit. Search for "I dreamed it and Steve did it" or domething like that. The thread title was worded something similar.

HTH

edit: I found the post.

I have the iPod integration kit and I also own a 4th gen iPod (20gb), an iPod Mini (4gb) and a 1 gb Nano, all of which work flawlessly with the kit. Although I had one problem - I was one of the first installations of this kit when it came out and I guess there was a defect with the serial interface and every now and then, the COMAND would freeze when the iPod was hooked up.
My dealer ordered a new serial interface, installed it and now (knock on wood) there have been no further issues.

Hope this helps.

i havent heard about the serial port problem, but ALL iPods(1st Gen-5th Gen) should and WILL work with the intergrationkit, all iPods serial ports are the same(newer they get they might change) but the shape and size should work properly with the kit.
