I just bought these S Class LED Tails and I did notice that my lower lights do not both light up. I've been searching the forums and finally found this page because I remembered once reading this thread a while ago. I'm not much of a wiring kind of guy, but from what I'm understanding from reading this thread over and over is that i have to change the the 7th and 6th pins around and the 2 lower bulbs will both be running while I drive?

Also, are all your guys' S Class style tails a perfect fit? My driver side one is not complete flush in the center of the tail light with teh trunk but the ends are flush. However, my passenger side is really good.

Um, okay. The S-Class taillights are set up for 2001-2004.5 models with the 6 pin connectors. The bulb sockets on those lights have 1156 sockets, which can be wired to have both lights on, but will lose the functionality of the rear foglight.

Now, if you wanted to, I already posted a DIY with part numbers from pep boys that you can use to create the same functionality. Since you have a 2005 model, I'm not sure you will need to go through all of that in order to get it working. Please check the S-Class taillight thread as the wiring for the functionalities are the same once you have the S Class taillights. It doesn't even require messing with the OEM wires/connector that is already on the car, just the wires that are connected on the taillight assembly (through the sockets).

Digging up an old thread. Trading in my car, thus returning it to stock. I had installed these W220 style lights on my W203 and used the configuration setup mentioned in this thread when converting from the 7 pin to 6 pin. Does anybody have the original 7 pan install configuration? So I can install the OEM lights. Hopefully someone can help me out.
