Comfort and Sports mode
I have read my manual and I have done a search here but nothing has answered my question. So with that said I have my car in sports mode when in town and short drives but when I go and watch a Carloina Canes Ice hockey game and have to drive on the highway I feel that the car is responding to every the bump and cracks and makes the drive uncomfortable until I put it C mode then the car feels great and a much smoother ride.OK now the question. Is this all in my head that the car rides better on C than S even though the only diffrence is which gear it starts in. I think there more too the C and S mode please advise. Thank you

it may just be on your head coz i think the C and S settings only changes how the car shifts, i really doubt that it changes suspension settings, otherwise there would be some wires or sensors attached to our shocks/springs/suspension, and there aren't any. somebody correct me if i'm wrong

It's all psychological.
C mode versus S mode just starts you off in second hear and does earlier gear shifts from what I remember.
C mode used to be called winter mode because of the decreased amount of torque you'd have in second gear as opposed to first gear so you wouldn't break the tires loose in the snow.

C mode starts in second gear for better take off on snow or wet ground. S mode starts in first gear.
From what I experienced, in C mode if the gas pedal is pushed down almost all the way, it will automatically start in 1st gear however it will shift to second gear at 4800 to 5000 rpm. And this will continue with second gear as well. However, in C mode if the gas pedal is pushed down all the way, it will shift as if it's operating in S mode.
C and S mode does not change the ride of the car. Como on! We go springs and shocks. Ain't no S-Class.
Hope this help
