New Mod, HID Fogs... Lots of Pics.
Well, after a couple hours doing the install, I installed HID foglights...
I ordered 4300k so that they match my OEM bi-xenons, but it looks like they sent me 6000k, so I'm kinda pissed about that. We'll see how they respond (it's a big sponsor on the other forum).
But, I think they look great and the night entry looks amazing, especially with my new LED license plate lights.
Here are a bunch of pics...
And, everyone was totally right about the driver side foglight being a pain in the ***. I couldn't manuever my hands b/c of the damn tank there...

that's true, I figured that since I was in LA, that it wouldn't be too big much of a consideration.
also, I was driving in heavy fog a week back and the oem foglights weren't helping at all, so it can't be too much of a loss...

looks prime
one question:
when your driving around, and have the fogs on along with the main bi's.. is it too bright? blinding on coming traffic? or even getting pulled over??

Phil,
So was it plug and play, just like they had mentioned? Where did you mount the ballasts?

I ended up mounting the ballasts to the side in the area by the sidemarkers using double sided mounting tape.
I mounted the igniters directly beneath the bulb are using double sided tape.
I'm gonna have to redo it b/c they sent me the wrong temp bulb, but yeah, hopefully it'll be easier this time...
not bad for someone who has no jacks/no lift and was using a $15 screwdriver set from pep boys...

Hmmm...that'll be a tough choice whenever I do my body kit (HID vs. PIAA Ion Yellow)...well, that's still a while away, so until then I'll be content with what I have.
Looks good though. The 6000k would've looked fine, if you had 6000k headlights also. All good though. Flip, Darwin and all the peeps at the place you got them from are really good peeps.

So if I want to install xenon fog, is there a special plug and play HID kit that I have to purchase or all 9006 HID kit will work? Also, for the installation, is there any special rewiring or anything that i have to do or any bypass i have to go through at the dealership about the ecu? Do you just turn your fog light on with the oem light switch? Sorry for asking many questions.
Thanks in advance,
Nico

I was contemplating on just having them send me 6000k bix bulbs at a discount instead of sending me the 4300k foglights (b/c they are a pain to install). But, I'm not a fan of losing that much functionality by going to the 6000k. Hopefully it'll be all good. There was a problem with my order on their end prior to me getting it, so hopefully they'll be able to resolve this matter quickly.

Dang, those HID fogs are bright.
You should try to bolt those ballasts down with the included mounting brackets. They're heavy and there's always a chance it could fall down.
I still need to install my 4300K HID fogs. I'll probably install them when I do the engine swap because I need to have the front bumper removed to install the water pump for the intercooler.

Ooh, did see "engine swap"? Nice! How much is it costing to do the whole thing?
