In term sof peak hp there is only a 15 hp difference, slightly more for the torque figure (correct me if I'm wrong). I have a sneaking suspicion that a C320 jockey might punch it and be surprised to find that C230 still right on his azz.

So you are telling me that if I drove an '06 V6 and then an '05 4cyl, that the '05 would be quicker 0-60 by over a second?????

I bet he cheated by puttnig stickers on his car. Everyone knows that stickers cut at least a second off of 0-60 times

AMG 'sticky' emblem is good for 40hours of online ridicule. Take the '0' of the 230, and really get some power. No one will ever mess with that C23.

The 05 car is somewhat quicker and gets much better mileage. But you guys get to brag its a V6 and talk up the refinement and that stuff. Enjoy.

when tuning parts are available for the new 4 valve per cyclinder the 230/280/350 can all share the parts which will be much easier to modify.
Only tuning kit for the 230k's 1.8 kompressor is from Kleemann or RENNtech.
Can I put a 2007 c320 transmission into a 2006 C230
Not so!!! '02 C32's are in the low to mid $30's but a new C350 is well over $40k. My thinking is that I could find an '04 or '05 C320 SS for under $30k and have a few buck left over to buy mods. My primary concern with the C230 & C320 was performace compared to the C32, but as it would be use as a daily driver, the gas mileage could be a huge factor. I drive about 15k-20k a year.
