Not as low as you wanted?

Well, your options would either be to roll the inside of the fenders back towards the body of the car or to have the edge of the fenders completely trimmed.

That's basically the only thing you can do. Otherwise, you'll continue to rub.

Well I have 9.5 rears with +35mm offset. What I want to do is to tuck the rears like LorinzerCclass which he has 10's in the rear.

I did roll the rear fenders where the body shop fold it in.

If I want to shave the rear what is the cost, the body shop says it needs to repaint the fenders.

Thank Drex

No one will have Tein coilover for W203 till mid-late Feburary. TEIN USA it self's out of stock till then.
http://www.tein.com/stock/sm-benz.htm

I just checked the Tein site and the Basic's are still out of stock. Just wondering if anyone knew when the next batch will arrive??

You shouldn't. The portion that they folded in is what they would normally cut. If you're still rubbing with that, it's probably rubbing on something other than the outside. Check your tires to see where the rubbing is taking place. You should be able to see approximately where it is occuring.

Right. I just ordered mine today. The shop called Tein direct and the next shipment is due to the US on March 17th. Add another week to inventory and send to the shop, so I am looking at the end of March. Not thrilled, but I made the decision to go with it. BTW, $1170 installed, which is compareable to what I have seen others pay (I'm on the east coast).

After reading this thread, I am concerned about rubbing. Has anyone with 8.5 fronts and 9.5 rears 35mm offset had any rubbing with the teins? IE... have you had to use spacers due to the teins?

Yes, that is correct. Mine are rolled in the rear already. Thing is, did you confirm that the rubbing is coming from the outside?

I have 19x10 in the rear with et35 (Carlsson 1/16). The rear quater panel is rolled and TEIN SS set to lowest in the rear. No more rubbing issue.

I had some white paint on the outside of the tires.

Does anyone have any pictures underside of the rolled fender?

FrankW: 19x10 wow, 35et nice, did you rolled the fender or just the factory rolled?

Thanks

no fenders are pre-rolled.

Mine's rolled through a local shop long time ago. It was the same as any other C-class before I had it rolled.

Okay, I'm sorry but I'm gonna revive this thread.

I've had a question about the TEIN Basic coilover kit. Perhaps drexappeal can help me out with this one. What is the max in inches you can lower the car with the basics? On the TEIN's website it's confusing; I see ride height and ride height adjust range. What's the difference? I'm looking at BIGjohnny's picture and it looks good. I'm okay with the rim/tire flushed with the fender. He has the SuperStreet coilovers which should be the same as the Basics but just with ride adjustability right?

SS and Basics drop will be the same at lowest/highest.

Take a look at this link w/ my car on it. Max drop in front is indicated as 1.38 inches and Max drop in rear is indicated as 1.54 inches.

Remember, the reason that it is different numbers than the 240/320 is because of the measurement between the stock sport springs/TEIN suspension vs. the stock luxury springs/TEIN suspension on the w203. Different spring heights and overall weight of the vehicles.

I'm looking at bigjohnny's car, and it doesn't look like it only drops it 1.38 inches front and 1.54 inches in the back. If Johnny's car is what 1.38" and 1.54" look like, then I'm okay with that. Can you confirm drexappeal or anyone else.

I just gave you what TEIN indicated, so it's possible that their numbers are a little lower projection than what actually can be done.

It's all dependent on the wheel offset on the rims you choose. If chosen correctly, it's possible that you won't experience any rubbing. If chosen poorly (without proper research and consultation with a shop), it's also possible that they might rub.

I just ordered the basic tein coilovers. I'm setting them up with 19" Brabus Mono VI with offset 45. Brabus gave me 16mm for the fronts and 10mm for the rear, for my 2005 C230SS This sounds off, but they're the experts, I guess.
