I dont know what to do. (1)Lower my car and keep 17" rims stock or (2) not to lower the car and get 18"rims . I was thinking about HRE rims, are they worth it? Will they be bad and bend easy. DONT FORGET IM FROM NY

The bigger the rim, the harder the ride. I like a little slam, but anything more than an inch is too ghetto for me.

You can always do both.

I can assume your roads suck, right? The HRE's are expensive, so you won't want to be hitting potholes and messing them up. Thankfully Kansas has beautiful roads!

I think 18s are fine, even on broken pavement. I have them as the factory setup on my C55 and they are much more forgiving than I expected. So I've upgraded to 19s and am dropping on H&R.

I vote for both!

Good luck,

JPOG

Since you are in NY I vote for 18" forged (ZONE, HRE, iFORGED, etc) and lowering.

if you're going to get rims, it's either stock, BBS or Fikse or Kenesis (never tried Kenesis but have both BBS and Fikse). All others are overpriced garbage.

when choosing a rim maker, make sure they make every part in house from barrel/drum to the center piece.

my only grip with BBS is they made top of the line rims to your everyday throw away winter rims.

Interesting that you indicate that these three wheel companies are the only companies worth the money, considering BBS' are typically seen on MB's and not too many people on these boards have Fikse or Kenesis rims. Be careful with your words. Some might take offense. I can say for sure that my rims aren't overpriced garbage. I just don't think that they would be used by DTM cars if they were. And btw, you're giving advice on a thread that was started in January.
