Tools needed are a T-15, T-30, and a flat screwdriver. The first pic shows where the screws are under. The second shows where you pry the door handle cover off. Third shows where you need to pop the tweeter off, its just snaps in. Fourth is where you need to take your fingers and pry up and toward you (after you loose the clips and screws). That window seal is attached to the door panel and the seal fits in a lip on the door itself. It is a tight fit so you will have to pull hard, it may feel as if it is glued on there but it is not. In the fifth pic, the top arrows show the lip that the seal fits on. The last pic, in the next post, which i could not get to load at first, shows the screw locations after the srs badge and door handle covers are removed.

Thanks, it may be that you clips have lost their clipping ability. I was thinking that maybe you could use some velcro to help the door panel fight a bit tighter.

Yea man, i was thinking about doing something like that. Quite a few people with Mercedes spend a lot of money on them, as they are used to taking them to the stealership. It's a shame barely any of the tint shops have even heard of moleskin.

ok driver's side is done. i guess i spent the same amount of time on that door cause i probably trimmed that moleskin and glued it really good for about half an hour since i'll be seeing that window all the time, i wanted to make sure it was perfect.

this really wasn't too hard, the hardest part was getting the glue and moleskin onto the rubber gasket and trimming it so it looks good.

pics are coming soon!

well I FINALLY DID IT!!
i've been trying to figure out how to do this for 18 months, thanks to Ryanr317 I finally got er done.
one thing i noticed, the 2005 appears to be a little bit different at the rubber gasket that meets the window. the whole gasket is on a metal bracket that pulls up and is removeable. it looks like in Ryanr317's pics the gasket is attached to the door frame?
so as Ish from Pimp My Ride would say, "Now my window gasket is gonna be too many soft!!!"
Tomorrow the car is going straight to the tint man to get an appointment to have the front windows redone. the scratches look so bad!

You should tell the tint man about what you did. Do you have to pay for the retint? It does seem that the gasket setup on the 01-04 models is different. I didn't have the metal bracket on my 02. But hey now we got the procedure for both setups. Oh yea, some of the 01-04 C's don't have the top screw underneath the door handle. I believe it's only the ones with gathered leather inserts on the doors that have this top screw.

I am about to find out in 10 minutes! I am thinking no since I have used this tint man for 3 jobs now and it has a lifetime guarantee.

i spoke with the tint man and he will redo all 4 doors for free. however he showed me that it was not necessary to remove the door panels to access the rubber gasket. the rubber strip can be removed from the door using a hook tool, moleskin applied and then pushed back down into the door. i will have to try this for the rear doors which i have not done yet.

Can anyone help me to undo the panel on a B-class? I am trying to install moleskin for the tint myself. The tinter refuse to install it for me saying they won't scratch. If they do, he'll retint it for free and pay for the felt and labour for the removal only.
