It is necessary, because you don't want a ton of air being dumped into the cylinders after you let off the gas from WOT. The S/C is still turning at high RPM, so the air has to go somewhere.

Turbo timer would be pointless on our cars. They're main purpose is to cool the turbo. Yes, it does help cool the engine a bit too... but w/o it, you can cause damage to the turbo internals - which is the main concern. The S/C in our case doesn't have the same problem... no need for a turbo timer.
You're right, HoustonC230. I didn't phrase my words properly, but in essence your point is exactly the same that I was trying to make.

And yes, there would be no use for the Turbo Timer on our car, but w/ respect to adding a BOV or a Turbo Timer, my main point was that neither would really serve a purpose for the supercharged m271 and if anything, maybe a turbo timer would have some use (i.e. my mention of cooling the engine), but really a BOV wouldn't serve a purpose based on how the m271 w/ supercharger is constructed.

Make sure you press play when you floor the pedal, not at idle. Push that play button at the right time... :p
There's actually a gizmo you can buy to make your car sound like another car, even OUTSIDE the car. Pointless...yes...but so is adding a BOV to the C230.

Then again, I think I wouldn't mind my car sounding like the Millenium Falcon as I accellerate to lightspeed out of parking lot at work...
