A box on 4 wheels
Performance or Looks/Sound, Performance wise go with the chip, if your going for looks go for the exhaust, you wont get more then 5HP with the exhaust.

Exhaust and here's why.

If you get the Power Chip now, in the short term you'll be gaining power, but say for instance later down the line, you want to do more power mods. Hypotheically, say that there are manufacturers that have come up with Pulley Kits that have proven reliability and are selling to consumers. If you decide to get a Pulley Kit that will deliver more power from the engine, at that point, your Powerchip will not be tuned with the new Pulley you've put into your car. Now, you'll have to get the ECU re-tuned to identify your new power mod. Without re-tuning/re-flashing the ECU, you run the risk of your engine running rich and the delivery of power will not be distributed as necessary with the new pulley (that could also translate to worse gas mileage than necessary and distorted power).

A lot of people get their car "flashed" or ECU chipped because they are looking to just gain a little more power. That's fine as long as you have no intention on doing any power mods in the future. If you do intend on other "power mods", you'll have to get the ECU re-flashed to identify any new power mod that is added.

So I guess, it really depends on what you're looking for. If you want to set yourself up for more power mods in the future, getting the Supersprint exhaust would be leading in that direction. In fact, even though it is said that there are no power gains from changing the stock exhaust (mostly because most of the exhausts are just replacement mufflers and no replacement of the stock piping), it would probably even be better to start with the exhaust now and get the Power Chip later on.

It really is up to you, but if I were to do any "power" mods at this point, I would look into getting an exhaust with custom piping (with anticipation that I'd be doing more power mods in the future), but that's me.

Good luck with the choice. I hope this helps.

is SOLD
if i had that choice i would get exhaust because it is an exterior and engine mod. you add a deep tone, hp performance, and looks. the powerchip upgrade will ONLY give you hp performance.

Exhaust now, chip+pulley later...

like Drex said, if you get the chip now it won't be tuned for the pulley kit if you ever decide to get them and then you'll be wasting your money to have the ecu retuned for the pulley kit.
