C230K Ticking sound HELP
Anyone has clear solution for ticking sound from engine when accelerating?? I know it's got to do something with purge valve for c240 sedan, but is it the same for the coupe?
I brought the car to dealer and they said it's normal sound from a supercharged engine, but it definitely isn't the engine sound u expect from a MB..

C200 Kompressor
Well MB's 111-engines are well known for not sounding that sexy you know. And yes, the C230K has the purge-valve as well. The bad purge valves usually ticks loud when idleing (to be drowned in other sounds on higher revs).

I hear the ticking on my car, but it's always been there from day 1 so I never thought twice about it, just the fact that the idle sounds pretty cheesy right now. Gotta get that muffler tip to drown out that sound.
