what to do about suspension?

well i really want suspension for my car. i don't like the H&R cupkit and the Kleemann is too expensive. i don't want to change just springs because it'll kill my shocks. Bilstein and Koni haven't come out with anything yet. Any suggestions? Besides those, what are some of you using?

The recommended Carlsson setup for the suspension involves Eibach springs with Bilstein shocks. Bilstein may not have the parts listed on their site, but if Carlsson recommended them, they must be devloping it. Try calling them to see if you can obtain an ETA. Kleeman uses Eibach springs, but I'm not sure about the shocks.

I read where the Carlsson setup will be available later this month - 8/20 according to TireRack. The cost is about $1500 for springs and shocks. They do mention that it is only for the sedan at this time. If you dont like the H&R cupkit...then coilovers may be your next option....but may be a little more expensive.

Just get the sway bars from Kleemann. You ride will be 95% the same and you handling will be much better. There is no need to do the springs and shock if you are ok with the ride height.

I totally forgot to mention that. Plus, Kleeman gets their sway bars from Eibach, just use the application guide on their website to find the part #.

The stock suspension should have the highest ride comfort, if you're talking about the smoothest ride. Using shorter, stiffer springs with stiffer shocks will cause you to feel the road more. Although it'll lower the car, it'll have effects in ride quality. If you want the best balance, I'd lean away from the H&R cup kit, because that setup is optimized towards racing, so has comfort fairly low on the list. But if you're demanding a drop, I'd recommend the Carlsson setup (Eibach + Bilstein).

Carlsson is expensive. If i were to go with Carlsson, I'd do the Kleeman for a few hundred more. I guess my best bet is to just wait for the Bilstein's to come out.

Well, whether you go through the manufacturers themselves or the aftermarket tuners, you'll end up with the same parts in the end. I wasn't necessarily recommending that you go through Carlsson, I was explaining that they used those parts in their suspension kit.

i heard the H&R cup kit offers a "softer" ride than other set up? is it true? what about the drop? how come it doesn't look like a (2 in front/ 1.4 in rear)?

i didnt measure the before and after, but the front did get lowered and the rear seems like it's more than 1.4". so far there arent any camber kits out, but the camber isnt so bad, i had pirelli p7000 supersports that i ran for about 25k miles.

I heard Eibach springs lower the car sufficiently and are still soft like the OEM springs....not a more harsh ride like H&R
