Is something wrong with my hood?
Hey folks - I was admiring my horribly dirty car (snow, salt, etc) when I noticed some slight indentations in my hood up by the grill slats near the windsheild (hard place to describe)... they were right under those slats in the hood itself...about an inch or so away....
So, I'm thinking that perhaps I got nailed with some road debris or rocks or something -- they are slight grooves that are only noticable because of the way the light reflects, etc. I'm sure you know what I mean.
Well, to make a long story short - I got a carwash and looked again closely at this area and now I noticed that I have a whole bunch of them ... straight across the hood in a row! Exactly even across.... I highly doubt rocks could have hit the hood so perfectly.... is this a defect in the hood somehow?...
....or, could this be somehow the result of that jerk that hit me several months back - although the hood was not part of the damage from that hit in the front driver's side quarter of the car....
Input please? I haven't had a chance to find another C-class around here to see if they have these marks as well... perhaps it is in the hood shape?
