C320 Front Seat comfort
Does anyone know of any replacement front seats available for the C320?
I just returned from a 2000 mile trip from Arizona to Colorado and return.
It is the first trip in a Mercedes where I have found the seats to be quite
uncomfortable. I like firm seats but these are just plain hard. My CLK 320
seats were very well designed and very comfortable. The C320 is such a
great car in almost every way but I don't think I will buy another if they
don't improve the seats.
I have thought about going to a shop that does upholstery to see if they
could replace the foam with the rubberized hair type used in my W124 .
Any suggestions would be apprecited.

I have the multicontour driver's seat which helps the lumbar support but
doesn't help the cushion, only providing an inflatable part at the front.

I've had the same experience and same reaction with the seats in my C230 SC. My butt is so sore now I can't even drive the car.
A friend has promised to be me in touch with a car restorer type who does rebuild seats and can probably put extra padding in, but I don't think that will work. I don't think there are any springs in the seat, and it feels like a park bench compared to my Passat seats. I 'd rather find replacement seats. Have you had any luck on this front? I wrote to Recaro but they have not developed brackets yet for the C230 and seem to think they won't because of side airbags. Please let me know if you find some other manufacturer of aftermarket seats.

Try Sparco, they have one available i think. My friend already use them over in indonesia on his C240. He uses Sparco Milano and of course there won't be any electric function
