they were about 500 including taxes and duty and brokerage and all that since i live in canada...the HID's were after market...300 dollars....notice all prices are in CDN...1USD= 1.13CDN you guys can do the math unless you are really into mercedes benz stuff, normal ppl cant tell the difference between the real bixenons and these...all my friends were like woah...hhahaha and the light really looks nice..nicer than my z4

this is how it looks...custom cut hole on plastic cover...sealed it with fish tank silicon
picture of the xenons lit up!
i dont get why we need to authentic bixenons...how often would we need the high beam xenons? its not like we drive with them on anyways!...if it came with the car stock i wouldnt mind, but why bother to put in 1k + to do this? the halogen high beam is enough IMO....i drove to cypress mountain with this car, the whole mountain road has no road lights...i depended on the 6000k HIDs and the high beam...and it was fine....no need of the bixenons...and even if u leave the bixenons all the time, wouldnt the highbeam halogens be better than the highbeam HID's since the highbeam xenon would blind opposing traffic more?

topekoms,
looks amazing! i shelled out 1,200 USD for bix from steve a few weeks ago, i will get them installed in a week or so. you're from van? me too!
right now i dont have xenons, i regret not getting them but i am happy with my purchase. do you know if there is a difference with euro spec bix from the ones that come stock here? or are they the same?

there's a difference between OEM and aftermarket.
i wouldn't go any further since it can end up as never-ending discussion.

i asked if it was MB or other diplomatically, since your photo showed definite
hot spot and spreading glare for an HID. I was seeking more info on the make
up of the headlight. you've added more information confirming that its identity.
thought you might have found a less expensive HID with controlled glare. I
have another MB to convert to HID. but for now, it still looks like a bit more
labor in a retro job. tnx though

Either way, I think this is a cheaper alternative that some people may like. I still prefer the BI-X.
topekoms - how much did you spend on the headlight assemblies and the HID kit in total?

i realised...that its not just setting the xenon setting to present...my service advisor also helped me attach some new wires..and putting a ground wire on everything...foglights, high beams, turn signals....well...he charged me 60 bucks not every dealer would do it....he had to do it privately...because mercedes would not do anything thats not original...so you gota get the hookups....
the projectors were...395USD....
HID's were 315
installation was 100
but i dont think u guys can get the same deal for HID and isntallation as me....knew the bodyshop guy pretty well...supposingly he was gona charge me how long it took,....but i knew him..so he charged me 100....it took that guy 3 hours to take everything apart and put it back together...nicely without tearing apart clips and stuff....i basically stood there adn watched for 3 hours....i dunt know how u guys take off the bumper so easily as described in the threads.
