i recently drove a 330i performance package at the dealership i work at and fell in love with the car by just how it feels driving wise. so ive been thinking lately and kinda wanna trade in my 05' c230 komp. w/ 27,500 for one of them 330i perform. package. i found one on autotrader for $35 grand with only 10k miles. so i was wondering if i can get your guys feedback on whether its a good idea, knowing that 3 series coupe is on the way.

if I were you, I would wait for the coupe because autoweek says the coupe would have the twin-turbo engine

Only problem is that the twin turbo will likely be well over $40k and maybe $50k. Not sure if he is ready to buck up the extra $20,0000 figuring he will get $28K tops for his trade. The 330i ZHP is a better deal at $35k. I looked at one before I ordered my C230 and liked it a lot, but wanted an auto. Could not find a used one with auto and a new one was well over $40k.

im only 19, working as a porter, so im on a strict budget. so i dont think i would be able to spend over $40k for a brand new car

alrighty.

with a strict budget, have you checked into what the insurance rate will be for the 330i ? The reason I am asking is because when I switched car, the insurance rate for my new C320 was less than my 5-year old bmw 328i.

A coworker walked into my office and asked if the BMW I was looking at in the autoweek article was the new 'Civic coupe'...

I think Bangle designed cars are like abstract art, most people probably won't like it. I still don't like it. I only made the comment because in his post, Binary didn't seem to have a problem with the Bangle design.

A friend of mine noted this:

Quote:
No one can name the other car designers for any particular vehicle line...who designs for Audi, Mercedes, Ford...people have NO IDEA...but the name Chris Bangle is synonymous with stupidity...he is easily the MOST despised man in automotive history...it's actually sort of incredible the amount of hatred he has inspired....

Now, that's very nice. Of course, it doesn't look anything like the abomination that came out a few days ago.

A friend of mine made a very astute observation about the new 3 series, from the front, it looks like an old Grand Am, even down to the splits in the lower grille, and from the rear, its a Kia. He's definately right about the nose.

That's because it's not a 3-series car. It's a 2-series car.

Just came back from the autoshow. The BMW boys were pissed at the Lexus folks big time. No one could hear the sales monkeys over in propeller land over the stereo in the new LS. No joke, it was that good. We thought it was pumped in at first, but it was actually coming from the car it self.

BTW, EVERYONE has a bangle butt on the big flag ship cars now. BMW, Benz, and now LEXUS. Also, the new 3 series sedan is truly dumpy when you see it in person! Seriously!
