Why I HATE People Driving My Car...
So basically I always get yelled at when my sister tries to take the benz out for the night... And almost everytime, something happens... Usu its some stupid scratch... But this time, its much worse... So while driving, she gets a flat tire... oh no, big whoop... but the idiot doesn't know it... and she keeps driving on the flat tire... By the time she came home tonight... The tire has a nice little indent all the way around the tire...
My question to you guys is...
1) Patch it and leave the deformed tire (ill post pics later)
2) Get 1 new tire...

Hi,
I think the best thing is to change the tire. The problem is that you have to get the same tires for axis (for law) so if the other tire is used but as the new no problem, but if is not so new you have to buy 2 tires!
Let pay your SISTER!

sounds like the sidewall is separating. replace the tire asap. you are running stock 17's right? the tires aren't expensive.... so don't sweat it. Call luke if you want to buy from tirerack.

over 40% of the cars around here wouldnt even pass the german TUV test lol
rrpnow ... just be glad that the stocks at least have some rubber to run on. if it would have been somewhat like 30 ... a new rim would be needed too

You will need to buy a new tire. If there's marking around the tire then that means the rim has been eaten away at the sidewall. DO NOT PATCH. I put money on that when the tech takes the tire off there will be a handfull of rubber.
Just my 2 cents

You have a 2006, are the other three OK? Why spend $800 when you only need to spend $200? Besides, your sister is just going to mess up another tire anyway next time she takes it out and scrapes a curb with it or finds a nail. Also, last time I got tires for my car and my kid's car I got Bridgestones with the curb guard, helps save the rims when your sister parks a bit to close to the curb.

I upgraded the volvo to 18's and got Michelin Pilot Sport PS2's, and they're great, even though they're a summer tire they have tons of traction in the rain. I recommend them over the Pilot HX's, but they are expensive. Goodyear Eagle and Pirelli Pzero Nero and good too.
right now i have the Michelin Pilot Primacy... I may end up going with either replacing the two back tires or even just one... Is there any detrimental effect by replacing just one, besides the new tire wearing a bit faster because its trying to grip the ground more (i think)?

UPDATE: since the tires had less that 8k on them... the dealer said just replace one... so i just replaced one back tire... it was something around $275? but dealer gave my dad a break, because we've done business with them... so we paid $200 after everything... not bad

...and a boy becomes a man...
OK so you're a man now (18).
Old enough to go to jail. You drive a 2006 Mercedes.
Your sister can drive a car so she is a woman. (Versus a girl).
Is your sister in your house? How does she gain access to your car? I suspect she lives under the same roof as you.
I couldn't imagine driving a new Mercedes until getting a few things out of the way, you now, like buying a house, some investments, developing my business.
SO, the boy is now a man and its time to get some things squared away.
Like not living with your sister or parents, and purchasing some real estate.
Ditto the sister.
Then, you each have your own car and your own house, and Sissy doesn't ding up your Benzie any more and you are now a card-carrying, productive and prosperous member of society.
Class dismissed.![beat](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/beat.gif)
PS the $200 is not a tire purchase, its a tuition payment.

obv i didn't mean it that harshly... but its like the first something of mine that i actual value... i worked my *** off for this... yeah, it was still given to me... but i still value it, so when someone just decides to mess up the tire and not care, it does bug me...
